Preseason Day 2 - Time For Teams

Wow - What a response.

The ball’s rolling and today’s video talks about teams.Dan Raine

Teams are a great way to enjoy the challenge and they enhance your chances of success.

With great technology like Skype (we will be showing you how to use this early in the week) you can have team members around the world and speak for free!

After you watch the video - stand by to get an email from Dan showing you to the new forum.
Here is the video

You can download the iPod/iPhone version here soon.

See you on the Forum!

Oh! The two sites I wanted you to get signed up on are

http://digg.com
http://www.stumbleupon.com

Ed

PS The photo to the right is Dan Raine making good on the Fifteen K challenge last year. Dan Raine is a Master Marketer and looks very fetching in a pink thong. Don’t worry Folks thats as risque as we are going to get in the Family Friendly 30 Day Challenge.

PPS It would be cruel to point out that there is a video on youtube (search for Dan Raine) of the whole event…

I am a newbie to the 30 day challenge. I have been marketing a website since January of 2007 and look forward to learning new strategies to help this project. Also, would like to work with a good team.
    Thanks,

    Hi All,

Nui here from Melbourne, Australia, looking for a team, and looking forward to learning. My friend, Rob, put me on to the 30 Day Challenge, so here goes …

  6. Hello Anne,
Firstly I can’t tell you what we are going to do, because like you I am a humble Member so I won’t speculate. I can tell you I have been reading about the ‘websploits’ of one Ed “the legend” Dale for quite a while and have profited a few thousand dollars with very little effort by following his advice. I can also tell you (sorry Ed, maybe soon) that I have yet to pay Ed $1 for any of it.

Stumbleupon & Digg ~ I can guarantee that the toolbar includes tracking and it is all mentioned in the fine print and in the set-up options. You need to make your own judgements on all these things, and I also believe that by the end of The Thirty Day Challenge you will be required to join at least a dozen more such sites and probably register for another dozen to get acces to their Free tools, but now I am speculating.

NOTE: The key you have hit upon though Anne is, you could end up stuck in those and similar sites, I know I do, and it is part of why Web 2.0 works it is in our nature, sometimes you just do read one more story follow one more link.

THE TAKEAWAY: Stay Focused, as Professional online Marketers, we are working….. when we arrive at these sites do just what you came for and leave.

If your tempted to read something bookmark and comeback, if your tempted to read the fine print T & C’s, Privacy Statement etc Bookmark and comeback, if your tempted to click on an Ad Bookmark and comeback…. Guess what happens? you rarely Comeback and you often end up actually completing your objectives ontime….then you can Comeback!

    Highest Regards, Brendan

P.S. One more thing, Trust.. I believe there is a lot of trust and an amazing amount of Goodwill in the Web 2.0 community, how many people buy from websites where there is no physical address, no telephone number and often not so much as an e-Mail address. Some people still buy and by far the majority end up happy ;~)

    Hello Everyone,

We are John & Karla ( although John is the main one doing this challenge as my job will be interferring with my time). We are in Horn Lake, MS close to Memphis, TN. We are like some of the others as we are looking for a team also. Joh has some experience with Internet Marketing and software. I do not but I can do emails and do some work to help John on this project. We are looking forward to this challenge and with working with/ meeting new people. So, if you would like to get together to be on a team just shoot us an email and we will talk. John is usually at the computer in the late afternoon till the early morning hours and we are on Central Daylight Time.

We use Yahoo Messenger and our ID is phoenixunlimitedproducts ( @yahoo.com is the rest for our email).

Good luck to all of us,

    John & Karla

    Hey all,

Ok, I’m up for some fun and games and curious to see
what Ed, Dan and Nick have up their sleeve for 30DC 3.0.

I’m FT online but sure could get a lil’ more web 2.0 savvy
and just looking for the challenge and community of starting
from zilch and getting to the ten spot.

Located in western US and open to teaming for a small
    mastermind to make something happen.

    Bring it on boys.

    Jon

    P.S. Hi Caro :-D

  9. Hi guys,
Can’t wait to start the 30 day challenge! I’m new to all this but am excited about this awesome opportunity to learn how to make money on the web and eventually quit my corporate day job! :)
    Best of luck everyone! :)
    Shayna

  10. Thank you Brendan for your comprehensive reply and Hi again everyone!
I am one extremely focused individual and SOO serious about this - hence my misgivings about things that might difuse the said focus. And about the tracking - some of us here in the northern reaches of the E Empire are a bit jumpy these days about all this surveilance you see. Well, I will go and sign up and during the course get in and get out as per instructions. I don’t know if there are any others from the nordic countries on the course for a team (Hej alla!), but a team from the four corners of the globe is fine. I just know time wise (for quick back and forth contact etc.) it is probably easier to be more or less from compatible zones - even if the geographical areas can be quite far flung (like Africa and Europe.) I can be contacted via the “contact me” page on my fledgeling website:
    anniarts.com
    Good luck
    Anne

  11. Well, this has my excitement factor pretty high.

If anyone is wondering (looking at you anna), I believe it is optional to install the toolbar, but that allows you to rate and recommend sites that you come upon. So if you had the toolbar installed, and you came across, say, thirtydaychallenge.com, you could rate it and recommend it so that it’s “Rank” goes up on StumbleUpon. Same way with Digg.com, it is a rating and referral site, so you can generate buzz on these sites.

Sure you should read the fine print, but I am pretty sure you won’t find anything too scary in the details on these sites, that isn’t how they get ahead on these two. FYI, the founder of digg.com was recently on the cover of Time, pretty neat :)

    Did the forums open yet?

  20. Richard says:

Obviously I am looking for team mates (3 to 5) that are willing to spent the time and give it a go.
I am in the Houston, Texas area; but supposedly we connect with internet, so teammates can be international. I am not understanding how the teams are going to sort out, other than a random selection.
    Where is the forum?
I have been spending time signing up on digg and stumbleupon.
Maybe I will stumble on to my team mates.

    For clean water everywhere,
    Richard

  21. I can’t register on the forums. apparenly registration is closed!!

  22. R. Ralston says:

Hi! Richard here. As I watch each video, I am getting increasingly excited about this. It sounds like a lot of fun and challenging also. I can see that I’ll be up late tonight catching up here! I will read the homepage and email again, but I had the impression that day 1 of 30DC begins tomorrow. Is that correct?
Also, I would love and appreciate it if somebody has a team started and would be willing to add me to it.
I’ll check my emails again for one about the forum to get on teams.

Wishing everybody a great time and a lot of hands on learning…hoooray!

  26. R. Ralston says:

    Hi Catherine and everybody,

Up late myself trying to catch-up some. For those looking for a team still, the place where a team I’m in easily came together is by clicking the ‘forums’ link in the upper right hand section of this page. There’s a seperate forum section for getting in a team. You probably already know that, but being a late-sign-up member myself, thought it might help somebody.

  27. Usha Bhavani says:

    Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Usha from India and am a freelance writer and internet marketer. It’s wonderful being part of this. Since this is my first time here, I have no clue how things work around here.

  37. Hi everyone - nice to see a few new posts. I only found out about this two days ago - crammed yesterday. Couldn’t watch the video - probably need to have some piece of technology that allows viewing MP4 - haven’t seen that in the past.

I tried to download Twitter - couldn’t do it. Now I have to catch up for today as well - couldn’t be here.

I note several people need a team - so do I. The way to do it though is to go to the Forum, select the section to do with Teams and make the request there. I learned that in yesterday’s cram session. I’m about to do that. Maybe we will meet up there.

Wishing us all luck. We’ve got some hard work ahead
    Catherine
