Hi Ed,
The other day you mentioned two sites for us to sign up for; Digg and Stumbleupon.
.
(I wish I knew we were going to want them in Firefox)
Anyway, is there a particular Digg tool you recommend?
I just installed and saw FF today for the first time. I didn’t know their advanced feature system
of add-ons, let alone that there are often multiple choices.
Perhaps you or Dan could suggest the cleanest, most stable of the tools we’ll be adding?
Thank You again!
Ed

This is better than a picnic! I never tried an ad on because I figured they would probably be more trouble to learn how to use them than the time they saved but I see some light. Moreover, it will be just great to learn the EZ way. Thanks.

Guys about Firefox SEO. Alexa rankings doesn’t work because probably alexa changed it’s system. Search status have upgrated this so it displays correct Alexa Rankings, but Firefox SEO doesn’t. Maybe Ed Dale can recommend us other SEO tool…or just wait for an upgrade.

Thanx and keep them coming

Hi,
Darko, as alternative SEO addon I’m trying SEO Quake I’m not sure I like the interface tho.
This is a link the various alternatives available, that I know of.

SEO for Firefox doesn’t work for me at all, in Yahoo! or Google
Obviously something is conflicting but I don’t know what.
July 26th, 2007 at 3:18 am
Thanks Nick V and Ed.
There are two other extensions that I have found extremely useful for Firefox and you may want to investigate them.
1. Diigo
2. SEO Quake
Should be a fantastic challenge. Dr. Ron the NicheProf

OK, I’m having some difficulties. First of all, when I try to use SEO for FireFox (and unpredictably at other times now also), I get the message “Internal Error: url.replace is not a function.” Can somebody tell me what’s going on and how to fix it, hopefully before it causes some real trouble?
Also, ScribeFire installed and I can’t find any way to access it - no toolbar button, menu option, nothing.
No discernible results, either, after downloading and installing SearchStatus.
Bottom line - Help………..?

Scribefire looks like a little yellow/orange-y notepad at the bottom right of your firefox browser window

Hey Ed… any chance you can set your links to open in “new target” so we don’t navigate away from your blog?
I know you can right click the link the select “open in new tab” when using Firefox (the best dang nabbit browser there ever was) but some of the Firefox newbies may not be aware of this.
Just a suggestion…
… great stuff by the way

Hello All,
Okay I feel like a newbie for asking this. Hey newbie’s, don’t take that the wrong way.:) But how do you open multiple windows in Firefox? Should be pretty simple and I think I have done it before but going through a brain freeze. Too much information all at once.

Having a problem joining DIGG.COM - Keep getting message “Sorry, Bad IP” Any clues ?
August 10th, 2007 at 5:10 pm
Hi William,
If you haven’t sorted this yet, try connecting directly to http://64.191.203.30/ which is a valid digg.com IP. Sounds like a DNS or Firewall issue.

I am truly gobsmacked! I never realised just how many people were completely unaware of Firefox even though we are on the threshold of version 3.x. Although I must admit that despite using it since an early Beta I still find new add-ons for it. It beats anything MS has into a cocked hat! Even the new version 7.x of IE (which I admit is a huge improvement over 6.x and earlier.
Anyhow, for those who, like me, are truly fed up to the back teeth of Microsoft playing a completely two-faced game around standards compliance (they are a corporate W3C member but for ages NONE of their web pages I have visited is compliant and FULL of errors - check them out yourself if interested) get promoting Firefox to all your friends & contacts:

Link to W3C page checker (you should use this for all your important web pages).

Good morning Ed;
I have a major question for you or anyone who can help. I had been using firefox until Mid December, when all of a sudden my Yahoo email would no longer work…thus making me turn back to IE. This would be on my laptop. My office pc works fine for firefox and yahoo mail…but I now think that this is because my office pc will not update windows…my laptop does update windows (so it seems to me more of a windows issue)
I’ve been to forum after forum trying to get answers and most people think it is a firefox/yahoo issue. I’ve disabled firebug, I’ve cleared cookies, I’ve manually put in the address to be accepted in the security area…I have done everything possible that people have suggested to no avail.
In order to use firefox and yahoo mail, I have to go to IE and switch yahoo mail back to classic mail…but then I don’t have instant messagenger ability. Even if I try to sign into IM through Meeboo, it will not let me.
So then I have to go back to IE and change the email to the new version inorder to have IM in firefox, but can’t check any mail. This going back and forth is rediculious and time consuming.
Does anyone out there have the “true” answer to solve this problem. I would much rather use firefox, since it is a system that I am used to…but I won’t be able to if this problem continues.
January 2nd, 2008 at 12:58 pm
Sorry….got to frustrated and forgot my salutation.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this issue;

Isn’t great that we have comment spam already??
Sherry, First do you have Firefox 3? I do have a quick fix to make your life easier at least. Download the IE Tab Extension for Firefox. Then at the very least you can click that tab in Firefox and use Yahoo until you find the problem.
Oh… ooops, perhaps you won’t see this or have fixed it by now, because it has been 6 months…
Well, that add-on (IE Tab) and CoolIris Previews and Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer are all some real time savers and useful tools….

Thanks for the listing of FireFox add-ons, I’ll be sure to check these out. I noticed that there are two URL’s that are listed highlighted in red. Google Notebook and Search Status. Is their any specific reason why they are highlighted? Keep the great content coming.
