I really liked the new format Ed, great stuff. And the points you mentioned were things I would never have thought of! Cool stuff
Hi Ed,
Another great video by the master … thank you.
I believe that once people have a chance to know you, they can then learn to like you which in turn … can lead to them trusting you.
Over time, this is how we can reach people’s hearts and minds.
Just be you and be honest.
Thank you so much,, I have just signed up with Twitter 2 days ago.. And I knew it would be good. Thanks for the video. I’m following you at Twitter…
Great job on the new format! It’s a great primer on the benefits of Twitter in pointing the way to our content. Twitter really does drive traffic, plus can be used as a widget in other apps to provide an efficient way of updating multiple sites with the links.
Hi, Ed
Really pleased that you are covering this in more detail. There is just so much to Twitter that it is easy to miss
out in the finer areas of using it. Great work!
How do you get your videos so great looking, they amaze me with their quality…
Thanks for a great delivery once again
Vince
Great video. I have an unrelated problem, well, related in a way. My TDC toolbar has disappeared. Any thought as to how to get it back? It is ticked off in “view” “Toolbars” in my FireFox browser, but nothing is there anymore.
Wow that was a cool presentation - I might consider a Mac as my next tool.
“..sexy new iPods…”
I am SO getting one of the iPod Touches soon as my internet business has made me enough money to buy one. My old iPod died during the challenge so I need a new one anyway!
Nice and simple plus I like the advice to just follow some one who is successfully using it
Mark
Great information. I am going over to Twitter right now to sign up and follow you around like the little newbie lamb that I am…
I have decided that as Dan and Ed are not for sale (they are not are they?) I am going to earn enough money to get all Mac’d out.
I am surrounded by PC’s - lovely expensive ones but I wanna Mac. My husband is horrified but that presentation is the best on any subject I have ever seen.
Off to twitterific.
Great information, Ed…can’t thank you and the team for all you do. I’ve used Twitter a little…but now off to do some twitterin’ with focus!!
Cheers,
Ellen
Very well said Ed, I am making a note of using twitter more..
Vijay
Well I Never.I never thought that one coulkd use Twitters like this.Great Information from a Great Team Thank you
Gordon
I really did not quite understand the value of twitter, until now…
Thanks,
Jana
I try post to Twitter a few times a day. Always intersting to see what the others are up to.

In case you’re wondering what Ed was referring to at the top of this presentation…
http://www.pecha-kucha.org/
Thank you, Ed. I have been wondering about the value of Twitter and you made it very clear. I’d like to share an example that also goes to your point about writing great, economical content. After reading your post, I checked out a Twitter of a cyber friend, Marilyn Johnson, author of the Dead Beat. I knew she had recently begun using Twitter.
I like Marilyn. She has been very kind to me. On her Twitter she mentioned gave a “hilarious” to Francis Feneon’s 1906 book “Novels in Three Lines”. (The book is a compendium of Feneon’s 3 line “Novels” that appeared in French newspapers at the turn of the last century). I immediately went and bought the book.
Marilyn has no investment in my doing so. However, because I like Marilyn, trust her, value her opinions, all she had to do was mention the book and “boom” it sold (to me)
After that, I had this “aha moment.”
Suddenly all this Twitter stuff became clear. Now you know about Marilyn Johnson too…in addition to Feneon, his “Novels in Three Lines”, a great example of economy and great content etc. etc. etc. (Maybe Feneon was Twittering before Twittering was cool!)
I came.
I saw.
I purchased.
Wow! Thanks Ed.
Very nice presentation, that is exactly the sort of presentation I had in mind to be able to do some day (when I get my new camera and a mike for my mac, well , actually when I get my new mac!) I have not quite figured twitter out yet, but am anxious to get going. Thanks Ed for ALL the 30 Day Challenge lessons, I am still “absorbing” .
Smart. Smart. Smart. The side-by-side stuff is dead on.
Thanks for the explanation.
-Brian
Ah the “Fly on the Wall” what a concept. Thanks Ed…
-JIM
Thanks Ed, brilliant stuff as usual - I twittered that I was browsing this post - while I was watching your video. In this case, I used “TwitterBar,” but could have used “FoxyTunes” or sent an SMS from my phone. Thanks to Twitter Tools - that should populate to my blog in 24 hours or less. I can’t thank you enough for the time and effort you and the team have put into us this year - I’m starting to “get it”…Take care,
Hi Ed…sure like what you are doing…I’m trying to play catch up…or should I be doing that…I got way-behind and not sure where we’re going…any suggestions?…
Ramblin Ron
Just Twittered your video on Twitter…I know, I know “Fan Boy”…great lesson with a lot more wisdom than just the use of twitter!
Dearly Beloved:
You know that the meaning of TWITTER is actually revealing… but Ed made it all the way clearer.
Verb
1 : to utter successive chirping noises
2 a : to talk in a chattering fashion b : GIGGLE, TITTER
3 : to tremble with agitation : FLUTTER
Transitive Verb
4 : to utter in chirps or twitters
5 : to shake rapidly back and forth : FLUTTER
Noun
1 : a trembling agitation : QUIVER
2 : a small tremulous intermittent sound (as of birds)
3 a : a light chattering b : a light silly laugh : GIGGLE
The service was well named. And when giggle changes a bit, it can be googled.
Remain blessed and a blessing.

Great lesson, I was wandering what all the buzz about twitter was. As I was one of those people that
could not see the benefits.
The new presentation format is great, but I the screen shots were not clear or readable.
Thank you
DiDe
Well, Ed Dale you are really inovative and this twitter is a fantastic tool, must learn how to use it to further my efforts on the interner. Thanks again!
Great video, I was really impressed.
I still wonder what software you used.
Understood it is done with a mac product but I wonder if it is there something similar to be used with windows.
Hope somebody replies, I am really curious.
Thanks
Francesco
Be careful what you write. I was doing a search and some Twitter entries came up front page. This is a good thing so make sure you have at least a message or two saved in your archive.
Signed up for Twitter months ago and didn’t get it. Started using it last week and have to say it is great!
Hi Ed. I agree with you that Twitter is immensely valuable. I made a blog post on how I use it at
http://digitalfilipino.blogspot.com/2007/08/will-twitter-replace-yahoo-groups.html
Cheers everyone!
Thanks Ed, hope you give us even more reasons to Twitter. Relationship building is good marketing however, seems that a huge amount of time can be spent on Twitter before results. Who has that much time besides all unemployed people and college students avoiding class (or so they say)? I trust you, Ed, however still have problem seeing Twitter as more than a mindless, drug induced state. KT
Cool lesson. Just opened an account at http://www.twitterfeeds.com and have started posting my blog-updates via RSS to twitter and IT ROCKS!
Ed,
I’ve been puzzling over why one would use Twitter since they did a “nofollow” for links. But a lightbulb lit up on the top of my head when I saw this lesson. That’s really brilliant. I Not only do I get a sense of how to use Twitter but I see a whole new paradigm for selling! Really, great, you just keep on coming with brilliant stuff!
Kai
Great lesson!
Ahh, yes, it’s Twitter time! Thanks once again to my beloved mentor Ed Dale I’m becoming just like Roger Daltry ‘right in tune.’ Perhaps we’re about to discover a few more ingredients to the special sauce. Keep it coming, you terrific man.
hi ed
SO excited that u r a michael hewitt-gleeson fan too!! his X10memplex book is like my business bible!
really looking forward to the ‘check’ integration into 30DC!
thanks again
Awesome Job Ed, you are the best. Twitter is the greatest I will be using it for a long time.
Success is just an Ed Dale away!
Oh Yah! Got my first twitter via SMS yesterday after taking it all in and getting some folks on board.
It reminds me of …. a minimalistic art… more accurately…
a partial haiku … which begs to be completed …
I like that… Success is just an Ed Dale away! I can’t say it any better, Pamela!
Those interested in Twittering, go to the 30DC Forum and “search” TWITTER LIST. If you want a broader reach “search” for TWITTER.
There are 23 pages of 30 DCers that list their Twitter address!!!
The list on the last page may not reflect everyone that tried to get on the list. I believe original list was not forwarded and the last entry date was mid AUG.
It would be a good start list of like minded souls.
I don’t know how a person would sort out that much information.
For Clean Water Everywhere,
Richard (alias bluerunner)
Great lesson Ed -thanks for clarifying the benefits of using Twitter! I definately plan to start using this valuable tool more thanks to you.
~Shayna
I certainly do appreciate this lesson. Much was learned and I printed the responses and took notes. Bless ya. Patty
So, I’ve watched this video for the 3rd time and just got it! And the Dan Raine fireman doll is tastefully attired in that lovely pink thong. Way cool!

Great explanation of twitter. Shame about the presentation though - the movement made me feel “seasick”
basically I followed it on sound only!
