    Ed

I signed up for twitter months ago.

Then got emails from you and Dan to follow you guys.
And, I don’t know why, but I couldn’t get my account
set up to follow you guys (or anyone) in Twitter.

I’ll try again after this vid.

  5. Internet web conferencing guy Says:

    Hey Ed

As always cool stuff. You are maxing out that dvcCast software man! Macs
    rock the media world…

Keep these walkthroughs coming. With all the web 2.0 properties and all
their idiosyncrasies it’s really helpful to have someone of your experience
going over it. Looking forward to the next one.

As Andy asked…how do you ditch the tinyurl and put your own?

    Sincerely,
    Mark

but now all the pieces have fallen into place!

I’ll have to spend more time thinking what I’m doing, where I’m at, and putting
it up on twitter then maybe they’ll all get the word on Zenzuu and join us maybe
you too Ed that would be real cool since we come out of Beta in August and the

  15. Dagmar Rakos Says:

ok, some gramms - I see now, shouldn’t drink that darn red wine

  16. Gaida Says:

I’m with you Dagmar. The video is missing & I can’t watch it (just a red cross in left hand corner) & yes how are we to ‘watch’ an mp4?

  17. Debra Conrad Says:

I did a twitter post today and linked to a Squidoo lens for an affiliate product. Then a few minutes later another twit comes up from thefluffanutta with “Dear Squidoo Users” and a link to this new post: http://gilest.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/dear-squidoo-users/

    It’s a rant:
“Getting yourselves an Twitter account and then blindly following everyone you can find is not a way of generating more traffic for your Squidoo lens.

Rather, it is a way of generating anger and hatred from normally-happy and mild-mannered Twitter users who will, as a result of your stupid spammery behaviour, then go out of their way to block your Twitter account. Some of them might even write ranty blog posts about the act of blocking. Maybe those people should calm down a bit. But then again, what the hell - maybe they should be able to have a little rant about idiots-on-the-web every once in a while.

Only once in a while, though. If we posted rants about all the idiots on the web, we’d be doing it full time. Now there’s an idea for a Squidoo lens.”

And of course he is not following me anymore. No big loss…

My question is: What is Twitter about? I see that IM are using it in very commercial and personal ways. I love twitter as I get the “scoop” on up to the minute stuff that is important to me. It’s so much easier to follow the “tweets” than email.

So… in closing: I love the idea for twitter to direct traffic, but not only traffic to affiliate links.

Thanks for letting me put up a “rant” comment.

  18. Mark Krusch Says:

    Cool Vidoe Ed,

Thanks for your guidance in getting Twitter set-up to be used the proper way. Looking forward to the next video!

  19. R L Says:

I like to think I’ve set up twitter the correct way before and I think I have. When you say ’set up twitter the right way’, I’m assuming you have your marketing hat on, rather than what the average user would be doing.
