Kudos to Nez for putting us all on Twhirl and to Ed for showing us the benefits via video. Good Team Work!

Currently I am following a group of highly communicative, very smart Australia young web heads/devs/nerds and learning a heap about what is going on in the social media world from their perspective. This has been invaluable for awesome links, twitter tools and discussions about what is going on locally with their businesses/teaching/seminars.

As a browser tool for where it is AT(@ :-)) right this SECOND with real people it is quite extraordinary.

    Hi Ed

    Yeah, Twhirl ROCKS!

I’ve been doing some serious research into microblogging and if you think Twitter’s good, wait till you see what’s coming … you’re going to be VERY excited!

Shoot me an email and I’ll show you.

    Cheers

    Nick :)

Thank you so much, Ed, for taking the time to make this video for us! I’m such a Twitter addict lately, and I’m sure some of your tips will help me to control my addiction streamline some of my experience! ;)

I’ve seen you ‘around’ on the net for several years - but, I’ve never really paid attention until now *smacks head* and I must say, I’m thoroughly enjoying learning from you - and learning quite a lot, too! So, thank you.

  6. Shannon Says:

I can’t get twhirl to install. :( I have adobe air installed, but as soon as I try to install twhirl the entire system crashes and reboots and windows states it recovered from a serious error. Buggy windows. :)

    Hi Ed,

wonderful video as always. I had Twhirl installed already but wasn’t using it properly. Now I know why it is such a great tool.

One question though: How do I get Twihrl to work with more than one account?

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kirsten

Ed you continue to amaze me with the way you are spreading knowledge to the people free of charge…this old Scottish Highlander just loves all the quality content and not having to get the onion skin wallet out……:-)…..Thank you

I’m still struggling with how twitter can help us. It still comes off as an IM spin off and I don’t see it becoming a content rich or profitable model. Am I missing some bigger picture?

  12. Allison Reynolds Says:

    Hi Kirsten

    To add other accounts:
right click on the twhirl icon in your tray,
    select accounts manager,
enter screen name and click the +,
highlight the name and click enter
    fill in the password
and a new window should open for that account’s tweets.

Then you can either choose to open one or the other account by right clicking on the Twhirl icon in your tray
    or
double click on the Twhirl and both windows open

    Hope that helps

    :)

  13. Kirsten Erlenbruch Says:

    Hi Allison,

thanks a lot for your advise.
I had twhirl already set up and couldn’t get to the original window anymore.
So I had to undo the “open automatically-button” and restart twhirl. Then I could add a new account.
Now it works wonderfully with (at the moment) 2 open windows at a time.

    Thanks again.
    All the best
    Kirsten

  14. Craig Eubanks Says:

What a great piece of software. Twhirl rocks, and makes much more sense for using twitter than the web interface.

    Cheers,

    Craig

  15. Tracey Says:

I like the Twhirl, I do, but I don’t see and statistic tracking with it. Am I missing something or do I have to stick with Tweetburner for that?

  16. Kerry Atma Says:

Thanks again Ed - you are catching me up big time with Twiitter and now Thwirl.

  17. Robert Ashton Says:

Looks like “Something is technically wrong” with the Twitter homepage
