Hi Ed - Great tool and I love what you say about the two-way "pressure" time challenge of IM vs. twittering. I hadn't thought of that but that is nice about twitter, especially with these tools you're showing us. Question: when you do the @whoever reply feature through quotable or whatever does that then change your status to everyone, or is that a direct message. In other words, I like to leave my status something more... general, more accessible for new followers too. Or maybe I need to be updating it more.

Flock looks like it has some good "instant" solutions too, but even though right now I'm following way more people than are following me, I'm already getting overwhelmed following friends.

I wonder if it's WORSE ettiquette to STOp following people. eek.

Insightful explanation Ed. I know from experience that you answer as you have responded me a few times.
I think we all use Twitter as we think it fits us. The great thing about that is it works great for all of us.
But hey slow down on finding a new thing everyday will ya I can`t keep up at this pace.

Some of the below is from my Twitter responses to your vid.

Thanks for the intro to Quotably. Very handy tool. Any Twitter conversationalist should see this vid. Also, when I said "sends a certain message", I should clarify. I have great respect for what you do online.

I should have said, "I can see how some people could perceive a certain message."

It doesn't mean the perceived message is fair, but you've done an excellent job at clarifying your stance.

What software do you use for your screencast/video recording? I can see you're on a Mac so it's not Camtasia.

Quotably is indeed a great resource. Thank you for pointing it out. Off-topic: Ed, somebody selling his twitter account on ebay. http://tinyurl.com/5bzoy5 Current bid +$1100 Isn't it ridiculous? People just do not know what marketing is all about.

You and Howie Schwartz seem to operate on the same level. When do you guys ever sleep! But I love to follow in your wake; so keep it up. I learn so much from both of you.
