Ok, guess I ought to have gone through a few more lesson pages 1st. Apparently Flock and FireFox 3 share the same browser engine and NoScript seems to work with it - at least so far with my initial testing. I seriously doubt I'd use Flock as my main browser for web dev but for this program it seems safe enough to use on a primary system as opposed to on isolated from the rest of the network...

So, I get that Flock is being promoted as THE browser to maximize the 30 Day Challenge web marketing paradigm - at least if it is what it looks like it is going to turn out to be (I just started with it) - BUT... I'm curious about the security of it.

I'll have to do some research on Flock. IE is a security nightmare whereas FireFox is much more secure, especially with the NoScript plug-in, which is why I favor it. This is especially true when it comes to click jacking attacks. My biggest question is whether Flock has plug-ins and, if so, whether anyone is developing any for it. Especially in the realm of script blocking.

If Flock is the best browser for the 30 Day Challenge then I'll use it but until I am sure it is secure it will have to be on a system isolated from the rest of my network. I am more than a bit hesitant to switch to Flock as my main browser for all web content. I *certainly* would not log into any secure accounts with it (paypal, banks, credit card sites, etc) until I was sure it was as secure for hitting those sites as FoxFire with the NoScript plug-in...

Why limit yourself to just one? For me Browsers are like potatoe chips...
I use all of em. Flock is great for your Social Networking needs. Firefox is great for Webmasters. adding IE I can have more than one Gmail account opened at a time. It's all good. (of course I have 2 - 22" monitors :)

Dude! I just saw ABBA live on Saturday! Seriously! See? http://www.musicatmcclellan.org/pages/2008concert3.htm

Well, ok, it was actually their tribute band, Waterloo, but, the original ABBA members were there! And Waterloo ROCKED!

Totally off-topic? Sure. But I had to say my piece.

Downloaded flock and I like it but it restricts the space for my bookmarks and does not have alexa /PR - so no go right now.

Similar to Opera which is probably the best. Stuck with cranky old firefox for a while Ed.
