We are all allowed to react and respond. All thoughts are on the table. My favorite and related story is that I could golf with the mayor of my city in one 9-hole round and then golf with a guy who called himself the "town drunk" in the next round. And, the 2nd guy had his 6 of beer with him. But, the mayor was a person like you and me. He talked about his sons because I asked him. The "town drunk" was also a person. He actually was at his proudest best after a few beer. He made an issue of picking up debris and fixing damage on the golf course and then told me why. He then said that he just didn't do those things when sober. How do you judge? Is it worth judging? The best answer I can think of is, "Just show up and do your best, because all the "armchair quarterbacks" who don't show up are one or more levels below you." I told lots of people that the best manager in the world is totally useless to your little company. Why? Very simple. He or she is not present in your little company. The best manager is the one there who is trying. So, all you good 30DC people, remember to just show up! You know, “Life is so good”. We are all allowed to react and respond.
