After a torturous process we have come up with our tagline for this years challenge
“There Is No Charge For Awesomeness…”
SO
We need a new logo - and we need you to design it. On offer is 12 months of immediate edge action - Here are some points
1. We would prefer the logo to take less real estate than the current one does
2. We would love a flavicon that comes up in the address bar of our browser
3. Need to use it in a button so that people can put it on their blogs
4. (not for the comp but) need to produce alpha channel versions for use it cool video etc
BONUS ROUND (Copywriters at the ready)
I must tell you from a conversion perspective our thirty day challenge front page blows… it’s a sad case of the plumber with the leaky pipes at home…

1) Amen! I’ve had referred friends tell me later they bounced because “It’s what Willis…” made them think it was the wrong site!

Hmmm….think I went a little overboard… 800+ words long overboard.
Was good practice as that is the first sales letter type thing I have ever done though (and I don’t even feel dirty after doing it!).

I joined 30DC last week and I love the preSeason.
Do you have a need for some web programming skills for the new face of the 30DC?
I am fluent in HTML, javascript, asp & php and even though the prizes you offer are exactly what the doctor ordered (I have a very IM oriented doctor - he loved the previews of Dominiche) you haven’t asked for these skills here - so I hope you will.

Just curious if we have to submit finished designs? What if we have sketched designs because we don’t have the computer expertise to actually create them? Are penciled sketches of designs acceptable and then you could have a real designer render them in Illustrator/Photoshop??

In addition to my logo posted here i would like to comment my choice of colors:
- blue (listed as the most popular color) represents trust, reliability, belonging, coolness
and
- orange represents playfulness, warmth …
All of the above can be used as a synonym to 30DC.

I just wanted to follow up on the video contest and see if any winning entries had been announced yet…
This year’s challenge was awesome - Ed, Dan, Rob, Caro, Nez, and everyone else involved - truly a stellar job. My son and I learned a lot and have a solid foundation to build on going forward.

I know that one of them has an audio problem. I’ve re-recorded it to fix it, but it was done after the deadline - so I haven’t rendered or uploaded it yet. Right or wrong, I figured it would be better to wait until the contest had been decided - based on the merits of the videos submitted by the deadline.
