August 2nd, 2008 at 8:28 am
It would be oober nice if we there were some way to rewind or fast forward through this video. Some people (me) < ——-, accidentally click a link to somewhere else thinking that they can come back and just fast forward past the part they all ready watched. Maybe I’m just new to seesmic.

All good things come in there own time. I can see that lessons were learned from last year.
It has already been a ground breaking event . Last year I couldn’t even find Markets this year I
have 2 pages to look at . All of them I would like to do,alas I will check 5 to 10 and see what works.
Really excited about Day 2 and 3 Yes! will keep our pants on and wait for things to happen in their
own time. Love the approach this year has its Awesome!
August 2nd, 2008 at 8:45 am
Do we need to watch the videos first before opening the software ???

Looking forward to day 2

New Yorkers in the house, say what, say yeah!
Kayla, my Teen, says that just sounds idiotic.
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:54 am
You guys are fantastic. I say you are giving us a lot of information for free the very very least we can do is to be understanding and work with it. If anyone can sit in New York or Los Angeles traffic this is nothing. Coffee in hand bring it on! Good luck 30 day challengers. We are in this together all of us.
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Appreciate the effort to manage my expectations…
Thanks!

Dear Ed,
Thank you for the warning and cautioning us to “cool our jets”. At these prices, I can’t imagine why anyone would be petty enough to complain. (Like the fella that didn’t like the new 30 Day Challenge theme. Ptooey! Too bad! So Sad! I LOVED IT! and will probably know it by heart before the challenge is over .)
Anyway, I’m still unable to locate further training videos at this point - so I keep hitting the pause button on the Pre-Day video and watching it from the beginning again. Hint! Hint!
This is so exciting!
August 2nd, 2008 at 1:06 pm
Whew! I hope this is the right place!
The video fed slow, but it was extremely understandable. I’ve tried to prepare for this course by following Ed and Dan on Twitter. I also downloaded the tool bar — which appears and disappears — according to the screen I’m on.
I am sooo looking forward to this class. I’ve got huge issues with the technical aspects of the internet and social sites. I’ve signed up for RSS feeds, Delicious, etc. and have no idea how to locate my various subscriptions!
You guys did say “Newbies Welcome!” right?!
August 2nd, 2008 at 4:45 pm
I loved Ed’s new attire of Japanese Samurai!
August 2nd, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Hey Guys, I am sooo excited. I love the pep you guys have. I look forward to the 30 day challenge. My brother-in-law invited me and I am so glad he did.

I too had problems with this video. In fact everyone that has been on Seesmic has been crap. The picture quality is poor and the sound constantly stopping or breaking up. As I am on broadband it must be next to impossible to watch for dial up users.
So please Ed, if you want to show us a video do not use this program as its rubbish and lots of people are having problems with it. I personally am not going to waste my time trying to watch them on this program as it just doesn’t work very well and I cannot understand what it is you are trying to get across.

TDC Video Playback Solution
August 2nd, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Ed, I too concur with the Seesmic playback. I know you are trying to help us get the video bug, but why can’t you make it so we can embed an YouTube video. Please….
Thanks

Play Sesmic to the end while doing sommat else, then replay and its fine. I have the same issue with You Tube when I can actually connect to You Tube. Seesmic is great
August 3rd, 2008 at 6:12 am
I’m still finding that if I pause or try to rewind the Seesmic video that it goes back to the beginning automatically, even if I play the video all the way through first. A bit frustrating when my kid talks over the top of Ed and I try to go back a little to hear what’s been said at the 7 minute mark. Does anyone know if that’s a standard problem with Seesmic or can it be fixed? I’m not always in a position to be able to watch a video from go to whoa in one sitting.
May just have to try at another time when things are a little more peaceful around here ;o)
August 3rd, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Oh, you mean this isn’t Ed playing around?! I’m on BB and the video is so strange, I thought it was a ‘beta test’ he was doing.
I concur, drop this Seesmic whatever it is. This is worst than having a toothache. But then, just let it run while you go do something else and it works fine…listen, don’t look:)
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:36 pm
I am impressed Ed. I have not had any issues or problems of any kind - website, blog, videos or software. Great job!
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
How can I watch day 1 as was away till day 2 and cannot see how to get back to day 1 videos?
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Ignore that I stupid just found it
August 4th, 2008 at 7:19 am
I had no problems with this seeismic video because I’m on Broadband. For those who had probs, don’t worry. Ed said some people may have problems with the technicals of Market Samurai. Be patient. Watch ALL the videos before using it. Save yourself lots of pain! If you do any “Accidental” clicks etc, get horrible result… Ed goes on to repeat this warning, “Watch ALL the vids”…
One tip, if you `expect’ to have `problems’ and you think you are not good with tech stuff, then you will have problems. Kind of like self fulfilling prophecy. Change your belief, change your attitude, “I can do this!” and these problems will disappear or get resolved. Older people especially have this fear of tech stuff.
I found out about this 3DC late, so am making my way through the Pre-Season! God loves persistence!
August 4th, 2008 at 10:21 am
Yes sir!
I promise to be patient.
August 4th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
Ed, thanks for this most wonderful course that you’ve obviously put so much thought and heart and soul into. I learned a ton in pre-season and was blown away by the Day 2 videos. Yes, I’m behind and watching this for a second time…
but anywho…
I love how you’re walking us through this and even though I’m trying (really I am) to get the video bug, the PDF transcripts are dream for “learners on paper”
one teeny tiny constructive criticism: I agree with everyone here about seesmic. the utube and on screen ones are great but this one breaks up and despite being volume level 11 (out of 10) is like you’re whispering no matter what I do. It’s too bad - this was the video telling us to slow down, be patient. That’s harder to do with this video that anything else you’ve produced so far.
Hope that doesn’t come out too negative. I’m following the rules and verrrrrry grateful believe you me.

First I must say that this site is truly awesome
However, the seesmic video’s are really messing in up for me. On Ubuntu Linux (my preferred OS), seesmic crashes any browser
I had to use a windows machine at work to post this.
Fortunately the good-stuff, such as Market Samurai and the Youtube Videos all work fine.
Thanks for the great work.

Thanks for the warning and helping us newbies take a step back to see the whole picture. I just can’t wait to make a buck.

Hi Ed
In your experience, regarding the domain name (URL) - do you advise using the full keyword as the domain name eg vintageelectricguitar.com or is it as effective to use guitar.com/vintageelectricguitar.html?
Thanks
August 8th, 2008 at 1:26 am
Does anyone have a transcript of this Pre-Day 2 video? I can’t get past the 2.30 mark and I need to move on. Playing catch-up. I don’t see the video on You Tube. I could use a little help here, please.
Thanks,
Evie

Got it! Went to another pc and it ran smoothly.
August 8th, 2008 at 6:18 am
Playing catch-up, Thanks for this Ed, I get the message and shall resist temptation to the best of my ability!!
Bye the way - is that Rob on the shelf behind you playing guitar?
Onward and upward, I can’t wait for you to blow my mind.
