Samurai is the most awesome tool. It has taken me less than two hours to check out all my “leftover” niches from last year, as well as my niches for this year. Days of slaving over a hot computer and cold coffee are now a thing of a past. My only outstanding ticket is Samurai is not correctly searching within one of my niches for Australian searches only, it still throws back all countries searches (even when correctly selected). Sorry but I have had nothing but trouble with it. I started with keywords from my current site so I know they have traffic, but I could only do one keyword search, after that no results were returned for the other keywords. I have uninstalled it and will try again from another computer. Gtrends mashup is looking pretty good at the moment.

I had a bit of trouble in the beginning with the first download and then even with the upgrade.(my fault on direction reading) Market Samurai to the rescue and a very prompt reply. I am now sailing to niche “save me time heaven”.
Ed, if you do nothing else for us this 30dc, what a jewel. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for YOU and your expert team for all the time and effort. We are very lucky you came along and into our internet marketing life.

I have a Keyword research software already and the SAMURAI software blows it away and I paid a lot more for it then the Samurai if you are serious about getting into marketing on the internet get this software you will need nothing else I repeat nothing else good luck to all

Why didn’t I find out about you guys four months ago when I first started out looking on the Web. I’m a writer, not an Internet Marketer, but the Samurai shows much wisdom. He can guide any artist to their audience, and the audience to the artist.

I did the Marketing Samurai survey & then downloaded the the Black Book Niche.pdf and I found that the book gives me a different angle to research my keywords that I did not gather from the videos. I got good info from the videos and more good info from the book because it shows more case studies….so it helped to have both…I recommend the good read.
This 30DC is quite overwhelming with loads of new info and very exciting. I have been looking for ways to target the market so this is exactly what I need to learn. This is a huge undertaking for the team behind providing this challenge for free and everyone should be commended for your endless hours of hard work.

My Market Samurai still doesn’t work. Every time I run it, it shows a box that says all keywords show zero traffic. Eliminate SEO filter and continue to get words. So I get the words but no traffic. Anybody else having this problem?

I like milfredo have not been able to use Market Samurai for the same reasons, I have waited for 24 hrs, clean cookies etc and still come up empty. The first version seem to be more productive, I am wondering Ed if the 30DC use has bombarded google altogether and has put some type of permanent ban on ? Still a great product if all works well.

It looks like Google is currently updating all of their search traffic data in their data-centres.
The process is existing keywords are deleted from Google’s system, then the new data is loaded. That means the previous months search results data is being loaded into the system, and all keyword traffic data is being updated.
For keywords that are currently being updated, you will notice that there is no search traffic data for these keywords.
If you are generating keywords, and have the “SEO Traffic Filter” option ticked, this will mean no keywords appear in your results.
This problem will fix itself as soon as Google has completed its traffic data update.
However, in the mean-time if you are analyzing keywords, use the Adwords Traffic Data tools as your point of analysis.
The “Adwords Traffic Filter” will remove keywords that do not have any traffic in the Keyword Generation phase.
Using the “Adwords” analysis options, rather than the “Organic” analysis options will give you a benchmark traffic level. Multiply the Adwords traffic data by 10 to give you an indication of the search traffic in a market.

I’m having serious problem with Market Samurai. it worked for my first keyword research, but when I created second project to work on an unrelated keyword it seems to get stuck on 0% progress while supposedly generating keywords.
MarketSamurai is a great idea, but it’s too buggy right now.

I had quite a bit of problem installing it, though the problem was more to do with Adobe Air than the actual program. Whenever I tried to install it, it kept saying that the Adobe Air was broken. Apart from that no major problems so far.

Some comments have been about results, some are about competition analysis. These tools are available and have been. But not as one program. What I have taken from market samurai is it has several tools used in internet market marketing and combined them. Then you have the options to use the criteria you want to focus on. This is abosolutely.. To repeat ..Awesome!
P.S. Servers handled the day3 load too.

Ok, I went from Excited to Discouraged in 0.4 days:( I loved Market Samurai and then…well, it seemed to stop working after the update. So, now I feel like I have wasted valuable time….and effort. I am just to much of a newby to grasp all of this…
On to day 4…hoping to “get” it.

Hey Anna … no action is a waste of time if you learn something. Us newbs have a wealth of information to absorb and a wealth of support when we get bogged down. For your Market Samurai glitches … check out http://www.noblesamurai.com/support … there is a ton of info there … video tutorials, forums, knowledge base, trouble shooter and of course a place to submit a trouble ticket. Keep plugging away … we have 30 WHOLE days to get the basics and a life time to build on those basics. Enjoy, absorb and know that help is just a forum post away.

Got Samurai working OK - coooool stuff! Only one (major) niggle for me and that’s the filtering for single countries. I’ve got a site I need to optimise for the UK market, but all the results I’m getting for keywords and competition analysis are global. Going to have to use a different (US-based) niche I think for 30DC…

There is one thing I don`t really understand. It says that the search results are from Google Keyword tool and it shows searches per day. But actually it looks like these are the searches per month as the numbers are too high to be per day. Are these numbers broad or exact match? Because I think it is very important to know the traffic amount for the exact keyword phrase we are going to otimize.
Can anyone please explain about the traffic amount? Is it the amount per day and is it exact match or broad match?

I confess that the technical end of online marketing has me whipped. I won’t go into all the problems I’ve had prior to joining the 30 Day Challenge. Worse, I don’t know if the problems originate with me or with my browser. For example, I started the 30 Day Challenge by downloading your tool bar. It had disappeared the next time I went online. I downloaded Market Samurai and tested three keywords for searches. Yes, I watched the videos. I don’t understand the information that the program gives me–that is definitely me, not my browser. But I forged ahead and downloaded SEO for firefox. Yes, it works, but I don’t understand the information it gives me; well, I understand it, but I don’t know how it relates to me or my business.
Now I’m on the video about finding an affiliate product. As with several other videos I’ve tried to access, it doesn’t load. Yesterday, I tried to sign up for UStream, but apparently I’m not a member. (Unrelated, I’ve downloaded three Pay-Pal Plug In updates. The computer or browser doesn’t see them. I created an ezine last month and although my host shows I mailed it to x-number of subscribers whose names and addresses I entered by hand, when I went to mail my second issue, none of the information including layout, subscribers, etc had been saved. I tried placing an order three times for something online two days ago and although I finished typing in the information and the order appeared to go through, I never received a confirmation.)
I believe there is something wrong with firefox and because of that I’m never quite certain if the various problems that plague me are of my own making or a software issue. I had switched to firefox after Internet Explorer kept crashing.
In any case, I will keep trying to access the lessons in your Challenge, but it is difficult.

Where do I get to download market samurai. The site keeps takingme in circles. I have gone to the market sumurai site, clicked on signup link, logged in and all I get in the 30dc challenge main page asking me to log in and I have done this over and over again. This is frustrating. Can someone please help….grrrr!!!

Lots of problems here with market samurai
everytime i have used it i never get the google competition results so im still stuck half way through the challenge.
today i managed to have a day of work and the google synonym tool refuses to generate any keywords for me. really disspaointed guys
i paid for the market samurai tool and hope it gets better asap

Just popped over to quickly go through what you were teaching this year and steal your ideas, when I was stopped dead in my tracks when confronted with Market Samurai.

I saw the free trial, but when I saw you were selling it for like sixty something bucks, I grabbed it with both hands before you changed your mind.
