I’ve been sick, si I’m two days behind. But I have blog up and running. But there is no sales section on my theme page as there is in the day 6 video. Any answers to why?

Hi! Greetings from Russia! Your course is great! Thanks for the great job you’re doing.
A few issues from my experience:
1. wordpressdirect failed to setup a blog for me (I’ve had my own server). I’ve had to setup blog and all the plugins manually. I hope I can go on with the course, because currently I can only work with my blog via default admin area (wp-admin)
2. My blog isn’t indexed by google yet (after social bookmarking). Hope this going to change soon…
3. You’ve used squidoo as an example of a site where to leave comments. Could you please suggest some other services with ability to leave comments..

I’m catching up fast….. Now working on day 7. In 14 hours I’ll be up to date.
Ed… I’m assuming that for sites where there are only two column and no provision for banner ads it is just a matter of editing the stylesheet to create the proper div tags to place your ads. Would this be a fair assumption? If so, is it reasonable to conclude that the original designers of the particular theme don’t mind as long as you leave their credits at the bottom?

Hi gang,
I’m really getting frustrated. I was stuck on lesson/day 5 for a couple days and finally finished it. Lesson/day 6 presented its own challenges. Now here it lesson/day 8 and I’m stuck at Lesson/day 7 on the very first video. The basic problem is that sometimes the screen that gurubob is using is different in design and content from the page I am using. Right now my problem is that a particular page won’t save my Google Analytic cook. I press on the save button and webpress simply re-opens the same page. I’m stuck! Any idea?

I was having a lot of troubles with SocialMarker, it was not keeping the log-in information. I discovered in the Flock preferences I had not turned on third party bookmarks. This must be on for the Social Marker to work properly.
After I turned it on, it worked great.
I am making a timed video for this section. I will post it when I am indexed.

Any comment on the fact that sites like StumbleUpon explicitly state in the TOS that you’re not supposed to submit your own site to them? I want to use these tools, but I don’t want my account yanked for my troubles.

I found something really really powerful - and useful in terms of social bookmarking. It’s a service called “onlywire” - of course it’s for free!
You put all of your logins to del.ico.us, furl, magnolia etc… once in onlywire and they autosubmit it to all of your choosen pages!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaand:
There’s also a onlywire wp-plugin, that autosubmits all of your posts!!!
It’s not a substitute for social marker, but a really cool additional tool!!!
And no, I don’t get paid for this…

Did you know that you can select a piece of text from the website you want to bookmark before hitting the socialmarker.com button and it will be automatically added into the text field?
