This Friday night, here in Melbourne. SIGNET MAE - a new Australian band will be launching their first EP. I’m going to be there and if you’re in Melbourne you should come along and say hello.

Now, their music is awesome (You can download the EP for free at their web site) but more brilliant is the fact that they have taken what they have learned from the Thirty Day Challenge and APPLIED it.

Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter, Social Media, Video, you name it, they’re doing it.

I TOLD you that the Thirty Day Challenge works like gangbusters for artisans of all types. Remember the wonderful Merritt Pens from last years challenge.

Well as I write this, SIGNET MAE have just hit the JJJ indie chart TOP TEN (this is a big deal here in AUS)

A smart 30dc’er such as your good-self would head over to www.signetmae.com and look at how they are LIVING THE AWESOME.

Now, let’s have some fun.

Download their EP (it costs you nothing) and if you like it. Can you tweet, Facebook and blog about them. Let’s bring a bit of Social Media team work to the table.

Their launch on Friday night has a very reasonable cover charge and THAT is being donated to the VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL (More AWESOME). I’m going to be there Tweeting a storm and I hope you can come and say hello.

FYI - You’ve got an error problem with the TubbyNerd.com blog. When you click on any of the blog titles, you get a “400 Bad Request” error. No one can leave comments on the blog because of this.

    Thought you’d like to know.

That is cool. Hope it was a good gig for SIGNET MAE. What did they use as their keywords though? Was it simply the name of the band?

Oh, Keith… If only you had loaded Firebug! The answer is right there…
    “”

    Thanks Mike,

  6. well I’m slowly making my way through the 30dc. I’ve sort of fallen off the wagon this week, but I left off when there were so many “let’s take a break” days. I am indeed applying everything. There was a huge upsurge, but it immediately died. I don’t know what I did to get it, nor why it died.

Nice work taking down their site!! Apparently the band has a bandwidth limit.
Ed your power is bigger than Al Gore on the internet.

Hope everything went well with the gig. Always good to see money being put towards good causes and charities to help people out.

I’m working on the 2008 challenge and went on line last night and saw that I could pay $14.95 , which I

did, to access the phone calls for the 2009 challenge . I understand there is more information in the 2009

challenge and would like to access this but I don’t know how???
