There have been a couple of videos published for the 30DC pre-season over the last few days.
Firstly, Nez has created a video showing you how to open a Google account so you can access all the fabulous Google functionality (like gmail, google docs, analytics and so on).
Guru Bob has also recorded a video on YouTube. YouTube is incredibly important to the 30DC and we want you all to open YouTube accounts and subscribe to Ed’s video channel and rate and comment on the 30DC videos where possible.

I agree that videos are a important. I just started out using it turning articles into videos quickly and it gives good results. The key is to do it regularly and try to weave in your keywords. I think most people give up too quickly before they see results. The 30DC will be a good motivation to follow through.

Video is great and still widely misunderstood. Learn from Ed how to optimize these videos!
I’m using videos to drive great traffic and lock up top placement in Google search results. Seems I can populate 5-6 out the top 10 Google results with the right keyword and video distribution strategy.
I usually publish my videos to 7-10 video sharing sites with each new release. They spread from there as other sites pick up the content and after 30 days these videos are usually sitting on 40-50 sites.
Tip - make sure to embed your URL on the video if you can so that viewers can track back to your site. Screenflow, Camtwist and iMovie make this easy.
