I am proud to know you! Great job- your talent
    is priceless…
A great way to start this challenge- Thanks!!

  9. Nice sounding guitar, I guess I am not the only online market geek. The internet has taken entrepeneurs to an entire new level which is kind of Super neat. It is even more cool once we learn how to use more tools. One thing that has excited me the most about technology and working with its tools is that People are communicating and solving problems. Via blogs, interaction and communication while simultaneously using active thinking and typing etc. individuals feel more close to the problem solving process. I am amazed for in spite of info. to the contrary, I see society and people growing in a positive direction. Tools turns out are being used for very productive activities with positive results and as this video showed Humor.

    Hey Ted,
That was shameless self promotion (at it’s best!)
    I knows what I like and I knows what I don’t….. I liked
Your poignant, soul-searching plea for the right words for the occasion had me reaching for a beer to gulp
Really good guitar stuff flowing Mister

  13. as one of the new sayings i have picked up so far on the 30DC “I Like It”

  14. Steven Brown says:

Ted, Great video and good humour - well done.

Ed, you need a handicapping system in the Film Festival, so those of us who don’t have boat-loads of musical talent have a little chance :-)

  15. Chris - says:

Hehe, Ted Shrek playing with Ed Dale together would be a cool add on for 30DC!

  16. Ted Shred says:

    Hello everyone!
Thanks for all the cool messages – I just want to say – I have never made a video before ever, I am using a Canon zr500 camera – They are about $250.00 and have great reviews for ease of use – I know nothing of editing, or cameras and did zero editing (as you can tell) – I would love to learn all that but you don’t have to. This video took 1 hr from start to finish (not including the upload to Youtube:) – Almost all of that was trying to get the dang thing out of the camera into windows movie maker (which is free) Next time it will take way less time – however long it takes to get out the $19.00 tripod and play/speak/dance/fall down/whatever. The guitar I learned to play in 30 days too - from 30DaysToShredAndLookLikeALikeAKookOnYouTube.com – It is crazy fun to see people look at you stuff, so if you’re on the fence about a camera, get off it and get started, I’m hooked!

  17. Great fun video. What a lucky person you are to get to “play” about this whole thing. I was just reading about the power of playing in a child’s development. When you think about it “playing” has amazing benefits for adults both mentally and intellectually. What if we are just playing with this 30 day challenge and it’s not work or effort at all but just a playful experiment. What if we aren’t trying to “win” something but just playing with each other like on a playground for fun. Musicians don’t “work” music, they “play” music. Maybe that’s why joy and happiness are typically associated with music, even when the theme of the music isn’t even joy or happiness always. hmmm….

  18. andrew w says:

What is this a challenge on who can play the guitar the best. If thats the case I’ll never play like that in 30 days. so much for marketing…day 2 and still nothing…

  19. Deb Gallardo says:

Oh. My. Gosh! This is terrific, funny, entertaining, charming, and captures the uncertainty and hope that we all have.

Great guitar playing, too. You know your stuff. (I’m a musician, so I know.) Great spontaneous performance. If it weren’t so late I’m sure it would have been even stellar.

Thank you for making me smile and making me laugh, Ted.

  20. Gary Gray says:

The Apple version of the 30DC rating.

    iLikeit!

    Smiles :o)

  21. Hi there “Shredder”!

Nice little tune there. An open tuning can do magic to a nice sounding acoustic (or electric) guitar - fresh strings brings that extra “sizzle” ;-)

Best of luck to you from a fellow player!

    Torbjorn

  22. Bob Busan says:

    Way to go Ted!

    Go Team West Cost!!!

Ted is a genius. Loved it.

  24. Ted, I really needed that. Thanks for making me smile.

Oh, and I would have paid you at least $5 and a Coke for that.

  25. Ted you are adorable - cute sense of humor AND I enjoyed the tune your played. Hope you make more videos.

  26. netsuperstar says:

    Coolio Iglesias!

  29. Very, very cool. Good luck Ted, Team West Coast, and everyone in the 30DC!

  30. Very, very cool (as someone we all know and love would say)

  31. Great job, Ted!

Now if I only could get my camera back from the teenager . . . !?! hehe

Maybe I should her (my aforementioned teeenager) to that youtube vid you used to learn guitar. She’s been trying to learn guitar for about 3 years now.

    Annie

  32. R. Ralston says:

Great, Ted! That looks like a Gibson acoustic I had years ago. You also reminded me a bit of Ian Wright of Globetrekker. Agree with Chris’s post about it being wonderful if we could hear a tune with Ed and yourself together! Thanks greatly for the great start today.

    Richard

  33. MarcusP says:

Is there anything more true than “I wanna quit my day job, it would cure all my ills”?

I’m there with you Ted… and you do shred. Killer tune-age.
