On the Thirty Day Challenge we’re all about showing you the steps you need to take to test a niche for viability and try to make your first $1 online, and we use a load of cool tools to help you along the way to get ranked and start to get traffic to test for sales.

Well, for a few months we’ve been using a cracking WordPress plugin (OK, I developed it so I’m somewhat biased :) ) inside of the Immediate Edge which has seen our opt-ins and our affiliate product sales increase five fold and I’ve decided to give it away to you guys for free.

The plugin is a LightSqueeze overlay which performs a little like a pop-up, where your affiliate / product offer is shown after a short delay to the people landing on your website.

Now, Google hates pop-ups, but don’t worry because this script is (in nerdy coding terms) an overlay so Google doesn’t see it as a pop-up and doesn’t penalize you for using it.

The great thing about this plugin is that it’s incredibly easy to set up, it can be fully customized for size so you can tweak the overlay window to fit your offers nicely, you can vary the time before the LightSqueeze pops up, and you can set a cookie so that you can regulate the amount of times a visitor sees the offer.

To show you an example of how it works click on this link and you’ll see the LightSqueeze overlay appear after a few short moments:

Don’t underestimate the power of this simple plugin, it could be the difference in converting your visitors from tyre-kickers into customers making a purchase.

This plugin is just one of the cutting edge tools from the Immediate Edge, and we’re looking at selling this shortly for $47, but for a limited time you can get it as a special bonus for free, nada, zilch.

    Hi Dan

I just downloaded the plugin. Thank you so much for allowing us to have access for free. It looks great and perfect for wordpress. Perfect for list building!! :) Very cool!

    As always you guys ROCK.

    Kind Regards

    Jacinta :D

    Hi,
I’ve downloaded the plugin and I signed up to the immediate edge a couple of days ago on the one dollar trial. I’m committed to remaining a member - the value is incredible plus you get all the 30daychallenge plus material :-) which makes me ultra happy as I couldn’t decide which to join and having both was not in the budget.

Ed and Dan are the best teachers and I have unsubscribed from everybody elses newsletter except Frank Kern who I love ;-)It just gets me confused instead of more money into my account.

    Thanks Ed and Dan

I agree with claudia above. Just great. Am off to grab the immediate edge as we speak and I too like Frank Kern’s ways so funny how people are drawn to a type of marketer.

I do actually stay on quite a few lists but only the ones where they get you interactive on their blog as it’s a more enjoyable way for me to get quality backlinks whilst getting some decent info.

But that aside, who else do you really need when these guys are delivering so much value. I cannot wait for the seminar in Manchester and yes Ed, male bonding hugs are on the agenda!!! LOL

A great plugin and nice gift.
Delighted to be following you. Top draw guys.

  4. Thanks for the great plugin am going now to install it on my blog.

  5. David says:

Hi Dale, thanks for the access to this.

The only issue I’m seeing is that it wants to sit at the bottom of the page with the lower half cutoff from view.

I’ve found this typical for this type of plugin and/or script. Any suggestions for correcting this?

    Dave

    Dan and Ed,

This plugin looks great. I am excited to try it on my new blog. thanks for the awesome plugin and the great instruction you both provide…

    Hey Dan.

Thanks for the plugin and all the help you guys gave me from the 30 Day Challenge. Made my first few sales a little while ago and hope to do more. It wouldn’t have been possible without you guys.

Quick question about the plugin. I accidentally put in an “h ref URL” instead of a regular URL in the “Squeeze Page URL” and now the plugin won’t work when I try to change the URL. It just keeps displaying “<a href=” in “Squeeze Page URL” and the “Height” box got placed next to it. I keep trying to change it but it won’t work.

I hope I was clear about the problem…

  8. Thanks for the great plugin. Heading over to install it right now. I guess I also need to hurry up and get in on the $1 trial. I’ll go there next.

    You guys are awesome!

    Blessings,
    Wendy

  9. CJ says:

Thanks for this “Awesome” plugin. I have some plans for it right now! Perfect. Appreciate everything you do for us!

  10. There’s somewhat of an annoying bug with the plugin. The pop-up is initially displayed when you hit the home page, but if you click on a link like the Mulitivariate Page menu item and then hit the back button the pop-up is displayed again.

  11. Thanks a bunch for the fantastic plugin! I can’t wait to see how much it increases my opt-ins.

One question - where can I find the plugin/program that produces the nifty little footer slideup you’ve got in this blog? I want that!

  12. Adam says:

Sounds like a great plugin and I WANT IT!!! But I am curious as to how it would work with aweber’s email lightbox. Will it appear before, after, or cause it to mess up aweber’s lightbox for an email list? Would I have to disable my aweber lightbox in order to apply this? Let me know through my email if possible

  13. Money Tips says:

    Yeah great plugin, Thanks!!

  14. brett says:

Setup prompts a url entry. That pops up a full web page. I don’t know how to get just my opt-in box like the demo shows (excluding my blog header, footer, etc).

  15. Jan says:

Nice Plugin. But in my experience DHTML and css popups, light boxes and slide-ins will not pass a manual review by Google.

Adsense sites. Adwords landing pages. Dead as a doornail if they do a manual site review.

They’ve got 1000’s of people sitting in Bangalore doing nothing but manual reviews.

Your Okay until that day comes.

  16. Andre says:

Thanks Dan! I’ve been looking for something like this for ages.

Jan - That is simply not true. Some of the biggest websites on the internet uses light bozes to capture emails. Take a look at problogger and John Chow.

  17. Dejan says:

The plug-in is fantastic but…when I have the plug-in activated, for some reason it strips away all the empty lines in between the paragraphs of my posts. Is there a way to correct it?

And how can we set up an opt-in page like the demo shows?

    Thank you Dan!

  18. Matthew Hunt says:

    Dan,

Thanks for this wicked plugin! I have another burning question…? Where do you get that awesome tool bar that hovers above your sites footer? I have seen one other site with it, and I love it. How do I get my hands on that?

  19. Dan says:

The toolbar at the bottom is from:

    http://www.wibiya.com/

    Dan

  20. Tom says:

@Dan/Team - What are your views on this causing manual site review slaps as @Jan suggests above? Is this okay to put on our main SEO ranking blog?

Would hate to lose ranking on my site from using this…

    Thanks

  21. Miltski says:

Thanks for the files. I would like to open this chance to ask if you could find “limitpost” plug in for wordpres theme. It’s about shifting presentation of the blog posts. I have downloaded as it exactly as the name, but the problem wasn’t solved. Thanks!

  22. Thanks. I’m gonna to download it now :)

  23. Paul Dunn says:

What a fantastic plugin… thanks Dan! Quick question about the cookiedays, when I set it to 0 the popup does not come back up. For this particular site I would like to have it show every time.

    Thanks!

  24. Nick says:

    Hello Dan,

Is there a LightSqueeze not for WordPress but just for another kind of web sites?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

  25. Shawn says:

    Amazing!

    Thanks for sharin.

  26. Like its simplicity, however, having conflicts with a few jQuery content sliders.

Think it is due to a z-index issue.

  27. You’ve some honest ideas here. I done an investigation about the issue and discovered most peoples will trust your site.
