You’ve posted 2 times the link to the same video.
The second part video’s URL is : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb6bufCi5QU
August 8th, 2007 at 5:36 am
I may be daft, but it appears to me that instead of ramming it home… the second verse (video) is the same as the first.
I am certain it is an oversight. But the sooner it is corrected, the sooner you will assuage the oncoming tidal wave of comments
Trying to keep up,

Michael - The second video focuses it more into the way the TDC system works (the original video may have been a little confusing for some as it was made for Immediate Edge people). I think Ed/Rob/Dan wanted to make it clear to TDC participants based on the research done so far.
Rob, you are a star!

August 8th, 2007 at 6:05 am
Definitely the exact same video, you can sync them up second for second. Ed are you SURE the second url is correct?

August 8th, 2007 at 6:21 am
Yup same video AND the latest vid to appear in my iTunes is “Day 6 Google Competition”, but it starts off with Ed saying “Day 3″ and checking out sausage making in WordTracker…
August 8th, 2007 at 6:23 am
The 2nd video can be found on YouTube at http://youtube.com/watch?v=Cb6bufCi5QU
August 8th, 2007 at 6:25 am
It is the same video. It has an identical file size.
August 8th, 2007 at 6:36 am
Very clever stuff indeed.
Fantastic idea to use a baseline to predict from. I’ve got a question about baseline(s) but I’ll hang on to it for now … as it may be answered later. If not, I’ll fire away though
Great stuff Rob!
August 8th, 2007 at 7:03 am
Gang there was a mistake and its crucial you watch that second video! The page is corrected now
August 8th, 2007 at 7:04 am
The video link on the training page seems to be the same for me too.
Until they get it fixed, here’s the actual link for the second video on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb6bufCi5QU
I’ve updated it on my Resource site if the link isn’t clickable here and you don’t want to copy and paste.

Excellent work all, proves to be quite interesting and revealing.
August 8th, 2007 at 7:38 am
Ed, Rob, Dan……what amazing videos.
My mind is spinning with the possibilities - this really seems to provide a way of turning the light on before we shoot…..(and I speak as one who has been shooting in the dark for far too long….in the nicest possible sense of course…)
Thank you very much

August 8th, 2007 at 9:59 am
This is where it really pays off to do your homework every day. I’m glad I subjected all my seven market ideas to all the previous research steps, and now I’m ready to test the phrases using this intriguing new method. I encourage everyone not to just watch and listen, but follow up by DOING the processes right away every day. It’s the only way to really learn, and to have a hope of making your first $10 this month. Thanks Rob!

I hate ITUNES!!!! I have downloaded repeatedly on 2 computers and nothing but audio. UGH!!! PLEASE put everything on Utube. I am missing Day 8.

Ok,I finally heard the Itunes. I am grateful that Rob’s videos had an easy Utube link because his info was FABULOUS. I am a research oriented person and this makes total sense to me. BTW. . . Ed, I am also a fan of Top Chef. Now I know why their knives are so valuable. Yet another incredible bit of knowledge that would have escaped me but for 30DC.

Male yeast infection? MALE YEAST INFECTION. I’m going to have to tell my grandkids that the secret to my success was MALE YEAST INFECTION?? AH HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA ha!
Too rich.
August 8th, 2007 at 12:04 pm
Ditto, Katherine, I was thinking the same thing! The MYE baseline will forever be my mantra, thanks to the kind sharing by Dan, the awesome videos by Rob, and the giveaway guru of gurus, Ed Dale. What a fantastic, fabulous way to chuck out keyword phrases that appeared to have value. Give me more, give me more, I’m addicted!
August 8th, 2007 at 12:34 pm
I got two videos with different examples.updos prom hairstyles and intimo ligerie versus speed reading and deck.
It helps me to go over it again and then practice with my 7 or more ideas.
Great job, Robert!!
I didn’t know the technical terms, but I got the sense of what we are trying to accomplish.

First streaming video will not play but second will. I tunes only get audio too. Why not install a download link on
days. I have high speed internet and should not have problems unless your server is still overloaded ?
Good training when I can watch them ?
August 8th, 2007 at 1:43 pm
Ouch! My umbrellas are falling like dominoes! But,
he who laughs last, laughs best, and I will be laughing all the way to the bank (someday soon).
August 8th, 2007 at 1:52 pm
excellent stuff! he was right its groundbreaking, tweaks the whole game!
August 8th, 2007 at 1:59 pm
I’m absolutely amazed! Thank you to Rob and all — it is so clear now! I feel like I have a leg up on the competition already!
August 8th, 2007 at 2:35 pm
Has anyone noticed that their email subscriptions are getting overloaded
with people who want to offer their “BEST KEPT SECRETS” on market research?
Hey, and all for ‘FREE’ too. (some are still trying to get a pinch of money though)
I believe all the gurus are watching you Ed, and all the rest behind this.
I suppose the gurus don’t want their lists complaining about why they never
gave up the ‘goods’ until now. I believe this is just the beginning, and eventually
the gurus are going to have to give it all up, and come up with something else
to sell.

Day 8
On my own (before TDC)
I don’t know if I would have ever caught on to the 100 then page 10 trick
I was fooled by the million+ page thing
Fiddled with the Google trends, but couldn’t figure out how to make use of it
What is right in front of your face is not always obvious
SEO is nice, providing someone is searching for your optimized stuff
August 8th, 2007 at 3:18 pm
Sorry, Michael, I watched them on youtube so didn’t realise what you meant.

OMGoodness, this is such fab info. I can’t believe I am getting this free. thank you so much. You guys are such a blessing. I truly appreciate what you are doing for us. Thanks
August 8th, 2007 at 3:57 pm
Thank you Thank you Thank you… In the internet jungle, it is hard to know what information you can trust. Here is the proof. And it is provided FREE? Thank you again and again for the worthwhile information you are so graciously providing.
August 8th, 2007 at 3:58 pm
Ed, Dan, Rob;
This videos are amazing, i use to analize Google Trends, but this is very clarifying my mind !
Yesterday´s video was great too; the way Rob analize Google results to determine number of competitors…was superb!.
I really wanna thank you, guys for such an effort you´re making day by day, just to let us know your knowledge.
Congratulations from Buenos Aires!

Thank you so much for providing us with this priceless information in an easy to understand format
I feel more confident each day.
Great videos
August 8th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
Lisa,
Don’t worry. I just figured one of two things - either I was coo-coo (which is possible, but I wouldn’t notice) or it was a gaff that needed to be fixed. And evidently it was the latter. The jury is still out on the former though…
I guess I should take my turn to heap out the praise. I tried my hand it IM about two years ago, but I couldn’t figure out which step to take when - it was all a jumble. Now I’m following along step by step. I think your example of being willing to give to others will pay benefits - one way or another. So kudos for that.
I’m not sure where we’re goin’, but we’re makin’ good time!

Man Down - My Ideas Sucked according to Day 8 Google Tricks
August 8th, 2007 at 5:26 pm
I’m just learning so much…coming from really nothing….so you can imagine it’s like hopping on a freight train and being taken to a destination…I’m holding on…it’s fast…but it’s fun…and I’m learning along the way as the freight train passes various signs and I observe them, how to get to my destination (so I’m not just “arrived” when I get there, but “hey! I was lucky to get the fast route while so many have to figure it out themselves! And, observing the route along the way…I know how to do it again next time myself.” Well, okay, that may not make sense, but when you are super-duper-insanely tired, cross-eyed, caffeine-depleted, THEN re-read it and it may make some sense. LOL
There is no way I would have been able to figure ANY of this out by myself unless I had hours and hours and hours and months and years to study!
Here we have people who have been there and done that….and know what works, what is just okay, and what stinks (run!!!) because they have been successful at it….and we have SUPPORT….we have OPEN COMMUNICATION…this is just all so amazing that it is all wonderful and FREE.
Anyhow, thanks again…enjoying the ride!!!
August 8th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
Ahh! So this is day 8! I finally understand the reason for the excitement. Using Google Trends you go from inaccurate to accurate, and from zip dinero to mucho moolah. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
August 8th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
To all those people who sent me email today… yes, Male Yeast Infection is one of mine… Damn… With that and pink thongs I have nowhere to go

Some are complaining about viewing the same video again, but I view each one twice, pod casts twice and
Mikes blog twice and pick up something on each of them. Just a hint to everyone for quick traffic when your
site is up, if you can find blogs related to your topic send good substance to at least 3 blogs, with different
replies to each, with your web site URL. Google seems to love blogs and you will get listed so much faster.

just got thru watching the day 8 video and was running some ideas thru google trends when I found something pretty cool… check out the link below and look at the red line - there seems to be a spike in the exact phrase ” how to make money online” and the start of the 30 DC…. http://www.google.com/trends?q=male+yeast+infection%2C+%22how+to+make+money+online%22&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

I am just laughing too much at this…..it is fabulous! I’ve read, listened, watched, etc., material on bidding for keywords this year (a newbie..yes!!), yet have not seen anything like this. The step-by-step detail, fresh information ‘blows me away’. Still can’t find the words at this being for free. Will check the forums because my guess is that we should do this for our words and phrases before tomorrow. Bravo and thanks!

Here is my question for you gents:
When doing a search in Google for “Executive Job Search” , I get approximately 350,000 results. When I do a allintitle: “Executive Job Search” . I get about 40k results.
Now when I go into google/trends an do a search for Executive Job Search I get: Your terms - “Executive Job Search” - do not have enough search volume to show graphs.
What give, this can’t be accurate can it?
August 9th, 2007 at 12:56 am
The 350.000/40.000 results you are referring to are your competition. You need to get into Wordtracker to find your daily searches. In Wordtracker it gives me 77 daily searches, however in Google Trends it gives me an indication that it is even lower, much lower, if you compare it with the Male Yeast Infection phrase. I would not have placed all my money on this one
Fairlane
August 9th, 2007 at 1:02 am
Google Trends! Could it go the other way?
I just found out that a KW which Wordtracker estimates to 34 a day is showing approximately 200 a day when comparing it to Male Yeast Infection in Google Trends.
Another interesting thing is that this specific KW showed up in the graph in May this year, raised to approx 250 in 15 days, flattened out and suddenly stopped in mid July…. Google Bot issue?
How reliable would you consider this to be?
IF it is reliable it means that we need to check all KW of interest in Google Trends, even if daily searches should be below our threshold.
I will post this in the Forum as well..
..just my $0.2

Dearly Beloved Ed, Dan, Rob and others:
This is huge, period.
That is how simply I can say it.
Thank you all.
Regards,
Olakunle Solomon Fatoye.
August 9th, 2007 at 3:33 am
I was starting to sweat it as each of my 7 market niche ideas started falling under the axe. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope… yes! About 600 searches per day, an upward trend, and 25,000 competing pages for the KW phrase.
Yahoo! I mean, Google!
August 11th, 2007 at 1:53 am
I see now in Google Trends that the term MYI has spiked…I assume perhaps due to all of us hitting the term?
Anyway, I know that the March-June 2007 results are around 500 which is fine if my keywords appear in a comparison graph…but if they don’t I’m not sure what the English Language blue bar represents anymore to compare my red bar along side it?
Do I assume the bottom of the graph = 0 searches, and therefore I can work out roughly what the spike has risen the searches up to, and then be able to compare the red bar on the English language blue bar?
Am I thinking about this too much? hahaha
