it is all starting to work, I have narrowed my list down and actually have 4 out of the 7 with two tht are getting great trends numbers and staying right inside your targets. Excited to get to the next steps and see if these work. It is a making much more sense. It helps to go back and rewatch the videos again, expecially day 7.
thank you ed

Garrett - Thank you so very much for this cool tool - it is just going to save hours, especially for those of us who are back to square one with our niche ideas - Thanks again!
August 9th, 2007 at 10:12 pm
Garrett, this is amazing! Very cool!
Don’t know how difficult this is, but what if you added a third pane along the bottom tha had the google search with “affiliate after our phrase?
Scott
August 9th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
@Scott
Thanks for the suggestion Scott.
I did think about adding that, as well as wordtracker results, but I felt that it would crowd the tool. I could certainly take a stab at it if Ed or Dan wanted me to. But, for now, I thought I should just “keep it simple”.
Also, a lot of times, you can see the affiliates right on the sponsored column in the search results anyways. (And if you see that in the phrase results then you know you’ve got a great chance of finding a profitable niche.)

BTW everyone, if you are not understanding the install process, check out Mike Mindel’s awesome post on it!

Great tool! And I have to add there’s a “special” bonus that maybe not all of you have noticed: the Google Search results give the results showing the US Google Ads ( as dicussed in the forum, it uses the function &gl=US)… So, it’s a real plus for foreigners!
August 10th, 2007 at 3:57 am
Garrett, this is pretty cool. What tool/programming languague did you use to write it? How about a video of the making of the tool?

Trojan horse, eh? I wonder if that has anything to do with the new servers…
Well, I absolutely did not put one in there. So maybe disabling your anti-virus while you install it would take care of the problem. Sorry for those of you who are getting blocked, sounds very odd to me.
Thanks for the great comments guys! Very appreciated.

Hi Garrett
Forget last message - must have been gremlins - all working perfectly now. Wrapped now !!!!
Thank you, thank you ! :))
August 11th, 2007 at 9:45 am
For those of you getting blocked by Google, it’s probably because you’ve completed too many searches in a given time period. You’ll just have to wait or use a different browser. It happens anytime you do serious keyword research in a short amount of time. Google thinks you’re an automated program and they shut you down. But it’s only temporary.

Ok I have tried the link in different browser and still only get the one line of text mentioned prior. Does anyone have it as download file that can be posted elsewhere.
August 13th, 2007 at 12:22 pm
Hi Rich,
When you click the link, you get a white screen that says “Automagically does a split-screen comparison of google phrase search and google trends (against MYI)”. I get the same thing.
Go up to your Google search in the top right hand corner & click the small drop down arrow beside it, which brings down the menu of different searches. That’s where you’ll see “Add TDC Comp and Trend”. Click that & you’re done!
August 20th, 2007 at 10:03 pm
Dear Garrett,
I have not been able to install the toolbar.
The ADD TDC COMP AND TREND does not come up.
Can you help?
