You mentioned “The Secret” and compared it to Disney but The Secret is a classic case of the “Read about it rather than do it” mindset that you’re talking about.
People jumped on the idea that they could sit in a room and daydream and everything would come to them, but the makers of “The Secret” (intentionally I think) left out the part that said you had to take some action and DO something.
I wonder why…
We’re all naturally lazy. The only difference between the successful and the unsuccessful is motivation; a reason to do it.

On Being SO BROKE You Can't Come To That Seminar

You have to find the thing that motivates you. Whether it’s being able to write about the stuff you love every day, or taking photos, or making videos or helping others to learn about macramé and flyfishing (make your own catch net maybe?)
Or maybe it’s the thought of moving your family into a better house that gets you going?
Whatever it is, find your thing - your path, DECIDE what you want out of life and the rest just happens.
The Secret, Tony Robbins, Napoleon Hill and even Frank Kern’s “Core Influence” DVD are all saying the same thing.
And these days with the tools and help available like the 30DC there’s no excuse not to do it.
Cheers
