iTunes - Getting the Challenge Content - Part 2

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

Here is part two of the video on iTunes (Make sure you watch part 1 - or you will get confused)

And as always - here is the download

Do you want to know the reason this is going to be so big?

Once you set it up - it’s automatic - the content gets delivered to the clients computer and then their portable device. I was traveling recently and was stunned to see how many people were watching things on their iPod. Think about it, people are exercising more and listening to some interesting content while doing it is sweet.

70% of new cars in America have a specific iPod connection (and never forget the US is our target market)

At the moment only geeks like me are downloading shows on to Apple TV - but once you have tried this for yourself (or like me, have had a youtube party where everyone shows there favorite videos…)

Now thats enough for today!

Speak to you tomorrow

What Willis was talkin’ bout!

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

This is why I love the Internet (and it’s the secret to Marketing on the Internet in 2007)

Iasked someone to youtube Gary Coleman for me - This was up on the forum with-in hours. And because I mentioned Dana (BTW home schoolers! don’t go and google Dana on google images like I just did. It’s better to remember her like this…)RIP Dana

Look, I know we should be talking advanced internet marketing tactics and strategies here, but all my team want to know is ‘What the hell does that tag-line mean?’

Never heard of ‘Different Strokes‘ guys? Poor little black guy living with rich older white guy (No, it’s not what you think!) Gary Coleman was actually 34 when he played this part I’ve heard

Anyhoo, here’s some YouTube videos featuring the little guy so you can get in on the joke and play catchup.

Sorry Ed, don’t think Dana’s in it much

Now, here is the interesting thing - how many traffic generating sites did I use in this blog post. There is a marketing lesson in everything… You just have to take notice.

The Secret To My Success - RSS

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

What the?

RSS - which stand for Really Simple Sydication - I think :-) changed my life - Much like the DJ, but that’s a story for another time…

How can I possibly sound so smart given that I am a simple country boy from Beechworth in Victoria.

This video shows you how I do it. Your mission for today is to set up Bloglines - the “feedreeder” I use.

We are going to use this feature in ways you would not believe - so get it set-up, subscribe to the blogs that I show you in the video and you are off to the races.

Here it is in super sexy downloadable super sharp quicktime (In the next lesson I’ll show you how to get this straight into your iPhone/iPod/computer)

Ed

PS - A number of you were wondering why I don’t put up the links that I mention in the post straight away. The reason is simple.

I want you to watch the video - carefully. Yes, even all my guru collegues following along the challenge.

See - if i published the links - you would think - right i’ll just go get them and skip watching the video - This would be bad…

In the videos, I talk about why I use things and how I use them - and that’s where you are going to get all the value! Everyone’s known about these add-on’s and sites for ages - how they are used and why Dan, Nic and I use them - That’s the real trick.
