Here It Is!

A Quick Post

Friday, May 8th, 2009

Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone’s checked out the 30DC forum lately, but one of last year’s challengers has just released a really good and simple iPhone application.

It’s free, and it allows you to quickly check your ClickBank weekly earnings. It’s called FlickBank Free.

Looking forward to seeing what the upcoming pro version has to offer.

Dan.

Building A Blog Step-By-Step

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Well, we are coming up to pre-season time again, and this year is going to be an absolute stonker, we have some amazing things planned and I know you guys and gals are going to get a load out of the training this year, but one thing I thought I would do before the chaos kicked off this year is share a little bit of what I enjoy doing, and that is designing and building sites.

Now I get a load of emails asking how I create sites, and the processes that go into this, and as I am just re-creating my own personal site I thought I would show you the process as I actually go through and build it step-by-step.

(this is also part of my secret plan to make sure I actually get it finished)

Sooooo… I am not sure if this is your thing, but if you would like to watch me build a site, and see how I add things, change things, make a mess of things, and hopefully get to something which I like then head on over to:

This is a live site build using WordPress as the platform. I have started off by stripping down the default template then laying things out how I think the site should be structured. Over the next couple of weeks (if you keep checking it out) then you will watch things develop and hopefully end up seeing a finished site.

I am not going to be doing a step-by-step commentary on this but I will be taking a bunch of screenshots as I go on, and at the end I will put these together and do a bit of a questions and answers session for those that are interested.

So, as you can see from the above link, it is pretty basic, but hopefully over the next couple of weeks you will watch me make some progress on this, and with a bit of luck it will end up being a well designed, and more importantly useful site (well it’s nice to have a plan).
