What The 2009 30DC IS All About!

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Hi 30DCers,

Caro here :-)

We’ve been stampeded in the best possible way! YAY!

Yeap, we have had thousands, and I mean thousands of new sign ups in the past 24 hours!

AMAZING!

And as part of that, there is a recurring question coming to the fore:

What is this Thirty Day Challenge All About?

Second to that is some confusion regarding Pre-Season and where they are to start.

So I wanted to clarify things for you. As we are soon to start with the official, 2009 Thirty Day Challenge.

Yes we go live on August 1st at 9am EST (US).

So what is the Thirty Day Challenge?

It is a free training program which will teach you a strategy to research and identify a potential ‘money’ keyword phrase that will then be tested for

a) traffic

b) conversion

There is specific, proven, research criteria and steps to take to achieve this end outcome.

We will be making some incredible automated tools available to you for no charge (free trials during the 30DC) that will make this process even easier for you.

We will be covering specific strategies to bring more traffic to your website.

And essentially, you will be taught how to test for what could become a viable online business for you in the future.

The training itself by Internet Marketing experts is free, as are most of the tools. All you will need to pay for will be buying a domain name (when we get to that stage) and hosting that domain. We are talking nominal (no more than $8 for each).

I can vouch that this system works, as it’s worked for me. I did the 30DC in 2005 and one year later I went full time with Internet Marketing - and I worked my butt off, and did not let any set back put me off achieving my desired outcome - to be a successful online internet marketer!

This can also be your outcome too - and you’ll need to put the work in - and it’s fun.

OK so how do we bring the lessons to you?

The 30DC lessons come out in a day by day basis for 30 days (31 in fact :-) ).

There is a systematic approach to the training.

We encourage you to watch each video - more than once. And then take action as it’s taught.

And remember, mindset, perseverance, never say die, is what will ensure your success! :-)

What about Pre-Season?

Well we’re starting the 30DC 2009 in under 24 hours. So for now, do not worry about Pre-Season. Focus on the 30DC, and the daily teachings.

There are TWO videos we do recommend you watch in Pre-Season:

a) How to download files - if you don’t know how to already

b) Twitter - what twitter is and how to use it.

The rest, watch at your leisure if you are not familiar with the subject matter (as there is some great stuff in them! :-) )

So to Summarize:

Get ready to rock & roll - get your seat bell buckled - and get ready for the ride of your life with 30DC 2009!

Take each days lessons as they come. Watch EVERY video. Use the forum to ask questions - PLEASE search before posting, as you are likely to find it already answered.

And enjoy yourself! Internet Marketing is as much fun as it is lucrative! :-)

Best to you

Caro :-)

#30dc ANOTHER new feature

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

I am really excited about this.

I travelled half way around the world to convince Karl to be part of the Thirty Day Challenge.

But before I talk about Karl…

The number 1 reason people drop out of the Thirty Day Challenge is due to what goes on between your ears!!

And I have to say, I’m no poster child for this stuff either. I constantly struggle to get things done.

So who could I get to help you with what goes on “between the ears” during the challenge.

I have another problem…

(just one I hear you cry!!)

I am VERY skeptical of the “self-help’ field

VERY, VERY skeptical.

Too many of them make their money from selling stuff on “self-help” as opposed to be being successful in another field and relaying the lessons they have learned.

(Look, there are also so some awesome people as well - that’s not the point of this.)

You see in the Thirty Day Challenge - we are only interested in having presenters who have been where you are, worked hard and have had success.

Your time is too precious to suffer “theory”.

Everything you see here in the challenge is backed by a huge amount of testing and real-world results.

Which brings me back to Karl…

A little confession

I want to be Karl Moore when I grow up.

Karl has some incredible self development material and is a big success.

But did you know that by my knowledge - Karl runs the most successful and profitable niche information businesses online.

Yep - Selling Real Stuff to REAL people.

I know of noone more successful and I know a LOT of people.

He is extraordinarily organized, disciplined and if you see Karls blog still has time to really live life to the full.

His business systems for niche marketing are full stop the best in the world.

He is a tour de force and to top it off…

A REALLY nice bloke!

You can see why I want to Be Karl when I grow up!

He is the only person I can think of - who has a raft of little niche businesses, who teaches self-development and most importantly

Makes WAY more off his niches!

I hope you make Karl feel welcome. I’ve had a sneak peek of Karls videos and they are going to be a truly AWESOME edition to this years challenge.

Karl, Welcome and Thank You!

Callout For Someone To Transcribe The 2009 30DC Video’s

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Hi 30DCers,

We are on the hunt for a volunteer within our community who is prepared to transcribe all of the upcoming 2009 30DC videos!

We are looking for someone reliable and who can commit to transcribing each video within 24 hours of their being made public to the community. We would also expect you to take screen grabs within the video to support the written words.

The transcriptions don’t need to be word for word… but they will need to accurately reflect the content of the video.

We will of course be rewarding such a volunteer, and I can promise you it will be something that is sought after and of tremendous value to your IM career.

So, if you are reading this, and thinking ‘yeah I can do that’, what we ask is that you create a sample transcription of Nez’s 30DC Pre-season video on iTunes (link below):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUVxp1CZE2s

The transcription should be in either Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format or as a Word doc.

Please then email the sample transcription as an attachment to: thirtydaychallenge@gmail.com and we will assess all applications and award this role accordingly. All applications need to be in by 5 pm Monday 20th July, EST.

I look forward to receiving your applications :-)

Speak soon,

Ed

30DC Pre-Season: Downloading Files and Google Groups

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Hi Gang,

Caro McCourtie has recorded 2 more videos for the 30DC Pre-season which are up in the Training Centre now.

The first video is on downloading files and is really only for newbies who are still trying to figure out aspects of accessing and downloading files from the internet.  All you experienced users out there probably won’t need to watch this video.

The second video is on Google Groups.  It is a fantastic service for organising group communication and is therefore a tool you might consider for helping you all to manage communication within your 30DC teams this year.

Speak soon,

Ed
