Day 14 - 2009 30DC

Friday, August 14th, 2009

The Day 14 Training Content is online!

In day 14 we are continuing our focus on building pages on Web 2.0 sites and linking back to our blog today specifically from a Weebly and Facebook page.

Caro introduces you to another free blogging platform, Weebly. Caro takes you through the signup process for Weebly, and gives an overview of how easy it is to signup for Weebly and setup a Weebly blog. Caro then takes you through how to add another new theme keyword optimized article to your new Weebly blog, using the Weebly editor which has a very simple drag and drop interface. Lastly, Caro takes you through the process of adding your Weebly blog to both the Rank Tracker module in Market Samurai and Traffic Bug.

Ed introduces you to Facebook Pages, outlines how to use them and why, and gives some examples of how to use them to complement your marketing and branding efforts. Using Ed’s own Facebook Fan Page as an example, Ed shows you how they are constructed, and what kind of content you can put on them.

Ed then takes you through the process of creating a Facebook Page, following Facebook’s own step by step guide to settting up the page.

By the close of Day 14 you should have  created a new blog on the free blogging platform Weebly. The blog will have a new, unique post in the form of an article that is theme keyword optimized, and will have been added to Rank Tracker and Traffic Bug. You will have a greater understanding of Facebook Pages and how they function, and if applicable to your market or niche, you will have created a Facebook Page as well.

More to come,

Ed

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Hi Gang,

Well there has been a few additions to the 30DC Pre-Season content over the last few days.

Firstly, I have recorded 3 videos on Facebook showing you how to open a Facebook account, use Facebook with Seesmic Desktop and a review of some of the key features.

Guru Bob has also recorded a review of Google Analytics which you can use to track the traffic coming to your sites.  Tracking is crucial and you need to do it to learn about your niche as well as to optimise yuor site for ranking and getting more traffic.

You can access all the new videos in the Training Centre.
