Interesting thread
I'd welcome thoughts re when it comes to clicking on the purchase link - do you recommend that opens in a new window, or replaces the previous page?
I've tended to think the latter. I'm open to some proof (as in tested) re this.
As for some of the other posts.
I do also like to build a relationship with customers. And believe success in business is based on the strength of your relationship with your customer.
As Brian Tracey often says:
"People don't care about how much you know, they want to know how much you care".
As a self made multimillionaire sales man - I believe he knows what he's talking about
I am interested in Steve's comments too - as he has successfully created million dollar internet businesses - so the BIG end of IM. So does know what he's talking about when it comes to this industry.
AND - for everyone (and anyone reading this) - please lets not get personal, or rubbish another's POV. Remember if you disagree - keep it at: "I disagree...." as opposed to "You are wrong, missing the point etc..."
It's just rules of engagement 101 - fastest way to alienate someone is to do the 'you you you'. As ultimately it is our own opinion about something. Or our own emotional reaction - so own it, as opposed to projecting it - directly or passive aggressively. And then engaging back with that projection just inflames a situation and becomes about ego more than helping another.
This forum is about helping others
