Default Traffic Bug Copywriting, Anyone

Hi.

I can see that Traffic Bug is a winner. It will really help us get our message out there.

My thing with using Traffic Bug is the copywriting. Traffic Bug wants us to write some admittedly short sentences of compelling ad copy to support our posts. I come from an accounting background where we write specific answers to specific questions. So the concept of writing BS is totally foreign to me.

So if anyone has some good advice on copywriting, and maybe knows of a good free tool to use, I would looove to hear from you.

Cheers

John

Shhhhh... here's a secret trick... don't tell anybody!!! When I want "compelling ad copy" for keywords, I put those keywords into Google and then I look at the Adwords ads that come up. Then I rewrite those ads into a couple of complete sentences. Presto!

I found that it doesn't make much of a change what you write there, as long as it is keyword relevant. The ammount of people that will actually check that is so small... The main reason for trafficbug is for google to find you faster, or atleast that is the expecience i've had with it.

ANother thing to say is also that few weeks ago, trafficbug reduced the ammount of weekly bookmarks to 40 per week, making it offer very little, compared to some of the free social bookmarking tools around. Well, my 2 cents atleast

Krivc, the 'throttling' by traffic bug for 40 submissions/week is there to prevent spammers abusing the system and to avoid traffic bug getting labeled as a source of spam. You still get all the submissions from traffic bug, much more than 40, I think it is more than 180 social sites but they are simply spread out over a much longer period of time.

Hm, well isn't the point of social media bookmarking to make the spiders crawl your site faster? If trafficbug does that so slow, then it would be more reasonable to "Jiggle" your posts (:: Jiggling the Web for Instant Search Engine Rankings) and it would take approximately the same amount of time.

Krivc, jiggling looks pretty new and interesting for me. Thanks for the link! From a quick glance, it does look like it could work and it has similarities to the link wheel concept.

More focused on creating a specific blog posts for long tail keywords and dominating top 5-10 spots with it.
