Nielsen tracks internet use closely their free stuff is at:
http://www.nielsen-netratings.com/resources.jsp

It's a bit general even on a country-by-country basis,

I have a feeling if you could afford the good stuff you would have all you could ever want to know.

How about... http://digg.com/spy

I'm also using http://www.spyfu.com/ which gives a lot of useful data.

Some other ideas can come from what is currently popular in video?

http://www.viralvideochart.com

The Goggle Adwords traffic estimator could also be usefull:

https://adwords.google.com/select/Tr...timatorSandbox

Thinking about seasonality, here is one that lists food:

http://www.eattheseasons.co.uk

This one can come in handy with usefull tools for site building:

http://webmasters24.com
(it also has the Overture search tool filtered by country)

Best wishes,

- Vince
