Searching the 30DC Forum for info

I've been trying to search the forums to find answers to my questions - so as not to ask a question that has already been answered somewhere else. When I do the search and get a list of forum posts that relate to my question, if I click on the post to open it to read I get a "forbidden" error message. So I can't read the posts. Am I doing something wrong?

What I was trying to find are posts that might relate to finding other peoples blogs or web sites that are good examples of good design, content, SEO, etc. As a newbie, I find it helpful to see examples of what I should be striving for. I'm a visual learner.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
