Question Wordpressdirect - is it auto-publishing?

Hello all, as you can see, this is my first post, and as this Is my first 30DC I have been using the forum to get info from some of the more basic threads rather than imparting my, quite honestly, minute knowledge on to the rest of you guys!

That said, I haven't found the answer to this - I produced my first wordpressdirect blog almost 3 days ago, did the socialmarker part and gave a little tweet, but my site is not being indexed yet in google. I know that patience is a virtue, but with reports of some blogs appearing in hours I am worried I have made an error. I can't see a 'publish' button in wordpress (like the publish button you would see on squidoo for example), so my question is, is there a publish feature - or does wordpress automatically publish what you build straight away?

Thanks for your help, and good luck to all participating.

You have to understand that Wordpress and WordpressDirect are two different entities.
If you created a blog on WPD then you can look at it and see what everyone who looks at it sees.
I hope you are following the 30DC step by step. If you do, you will get indexed. If you don't follow step by step, and are a newbie, then who knows what will happen?
The path to high ranking in Google starts well before you build the website. The key is in market research. If you try to cut corners here, your site will fail. Even if you follow these steps to a tee, your site could fail. This is not negativity, it is compassionate realistic perspective. I did the 30DC and I can tell you it works if you apply it as taught. But, the 30DC technique of niche marketing is a process, not a silver bullet. You can master the skills being taught, apply them well, and have your site go bust. That is a success! There you have saved yourself untold hours and dollars on keywords that would not have worked in the long term, and you found out quickly.
When that happens, you move on to the next set of keywords and do it all over again.
So, before you try to assess if your indexing is an indicator make sure you have thoroughly researched your niche.
Then post the money article being taught in 30DC. That is the template for an optimal, search engine friendly piece of content.
So, you have done your market research.
You have posted a great article, optimized to your keywords, and the search engines.
You have created the Squids and Hubs that link back.
You have created a social bookmarking system that includes you socially bookmarking other sites as well as your own.
The hardest part of all of this is not all the things yoiu have to do, it very well may be all the things you ought NOT do.
That would be overdoing the bookmarking, putting too many links in your squids and hubs. You might think that if a keyword in the blog title and 4 more as categories are good, the 24 categories must be better.
You might decide to set all 24 of those categories on auto post and grind out 400 pieces of content onto your blog in the first week. No, not better.
Finding the right balance takes finesse and a moderation that is difficult for most newcomers to master.
So plan for not every keyword to be the golden nugget. Use the motions of creating more blogs to perfect the techniques being taught. take responsibility for the powerful software that is Market Samurai and WordpressDirect and utilize it as it was meant to be used.
Follow the steps, master them before rushing headlong to get a blog up. You miss steps or skip steps, the process will not work as well.
I hope you'll do well with this training. I learned the hard way, you don't have to.

IMStrong, thanks for your reply.

I think I may have given the wrong impression in that post. I am taking part in the 30DC for reasons I won't go into, but suffice to say those reasons drive me to go through this process properly,to get the best results I can. I have completed each day (so far upto day 8) thoroughly - I have no desire to miss out on parts of the process just to get to the end, and as this is my first attempt, I am under no illusion that I will succeed immediately.

I will complete the course - properly - and as thoroughly as I can. I take on board what you have written, and I thank you for taking the time to reply.

I didn't want to just post a question without giving a bit of substance and background to why I was posting, but if the question was lost amid my rambling (!) then it was this - On wordpressdirect, is there a button, or page that you need to go to in order to publish your blog, or does it get published automatically?

IMStrong - you said that I see my blog the way everyone else sees it, so does that mean that there is no 'final publishing step' - like you would find on squidoo?

Again thanks for your time, and I apologise if my previous post was not as clear as it could have been.

Thanks Jerome13. I have seen participants over-complicate the process again and again.
It is a process. Take baby steps. Follow the plan as it is laid out. Simple as that.

@San197792. I looked at your site.
My feedback:
The first instance of your main keyword phrase is bolded I would make that your link. You have your link all the way at the end of what I call the money article. The reason I say this is because, just like you want to be in the first 5 on Google, you want your link there on the first part of the page. As it is now, you have to scroll down the page to get to it. You could easily switch places on the bold and the link.
Now, Google don't care how aesthetically eye pleasing your site is. The spiders have no way to judge it. However, your potential customer can see it. They want ease of eye movement. They want it to be easy to read and navigate. To that end, I have some advice.
The title of your sales offer is obscured. The reason is because the red graphic of the car covers the red color of your font. How to fix. Edit HTML in .php files. Nah, to hard for us newbies. My quick fix? Go to your Sale Offer page in WPD. Cut the title right out. We are not putting anything in the title box. It conflicts with the graphic anyway. Now, Put you cursor up and to the left of the picture in your Sales Offer. Hit enter. Now you have a space above the picture. Put the cursor up there and Paste the title in. Save the Ad.
Now when you refresh your blog you should see the Title clearly.

Find a video of your topic, post it in your blog. Google loves videos.
I find it easier to simply go to YouTube and get the embed code of the video I want. Then, when you are writing a post, click the little HTML tag and paste the code in there. It will look like a tiny little tab in the upper left of the text field, but thats okay. When you save the post, assign it to a category. It looks good in the blog.
You should put something in every category because then it lists all your cats on the front page.
Never post anything uncategorized.
That's my advice for now.
Happy blogging!

IMStrong - thank you very much for your feedback. I made all the changes that you suggested, and the blog does look a lot better.

I did just want to apologise if I came across in the wrong manner in the previous posts here - if there is one thing the internet can't provide, it's vocal intonation! But anyway, thanks again for helping me out in a very knowledgable and friendly way.
