Google Sandbox - 13 Days and No Luck :(

I have had the taste of being on page 1, but that was on the 23rd of September. It is now the 6th of October and I am still ranked at #114! That is a long while.

How long should I wait before jumping into a new niche??? I intend to keep this one going by creating back links etc. But I dont no how long I should wait.

Hi Sahota,

If you are seeing yourself come up in the SERPS at 114 - you are not sandboxed.

Essentially Google has reassessed you to not have enough authority versus other sites.

As per the teachings/videos - you are encouraged to keep on building backlinks to the main ranking vehicle.

You do not 'jump' to testing a new niche until you have followed the steps taught for this one you are testing.

It is key to follow the steps as they are laid out.

And recognize that it takes quite a bit of work at this stage - to create unique content and also to build quality backlinks.

Your post does not offer any stats to demonstrate that you have followed the process re SEOT, SEOC, building other websites to create links. Creating new content (unique content) socially bookmarking etc.

As we have said before on the forum and on the videos - it is very normal to drop down in the rankings.

I'd be wanting to know more info to build a hypothesis as to why. My first offering is that you are not building authority.

Also - please run a search on this forum http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums/general-chat/7134-use-search-function-forum.html - there is a lot of discussion already on people seeing glorious instant SERP results and then falling backwards for a while - this is where the work comes in.

Or rather investment of time upfront to save you time in the future.

What day are you actually up to in the 30DC process?

How many BLP backlinks do you have?

What have you done so far to help build authority?

What was your SEOT and SEOC?

For what it's worth - I've been working on a project for a friend. We got fab results instantly - then feel back to position 95. With backlinking and building authority - we are now at position 14 broad match and 9 in phrase match - I am happy with that progress - the niche is already well optimized by the competition (who have strong DA and PR). And am seeing the evidence for myself that first page and high SERPS is feasible - it's all about authority and my putting the work in.

You can certainly achieve amazing results with this process. And there is a point - Day 25 - where you assess if you go or do not go.

The key for you is to make sure you are following it to the letter
