Default Why are these markets psycho?

Quote:
Let me start the list of psycho markets one should AVOID at all costs at the 30 Day Challenge:

1. Weight Loss

2. Getting rid of Acne

3. Dog Training & and all the sub niches

4. Dating

5. Divorce

6. Home Schooling

7. Internet Marketing & all the sub niches - list building, etc, etc
Is it because:
They are too competitive?
History has shown that people in these markets don't buy?
Customers in these markets are psycho?
OR
some other reason(s)?
cheers,
Darren

Hi Chris,
Just reading your post. Thanks for all the tips and yes if anything comes out of it I will absolutely keep you in mind.

Hi all - I see weight loss, health care, and "miracle vitamins" on the list(s) of markets/topics to avoid.

What about fitness? I realize this is huge, online and elsewhere - and most likely qualifies as a "psycho market." But what about a sub-topic, like "bodyweight-only (no equipment required) interval-training" fitness?

There are quite a few "gurus" who take this approach, but is this a sufficiently small sub-niche as to be a "non-psycho" market?

Thanks in advance.

Stan

If the GTrends stats show a sub niche to be workable, then go for it.

The only thing else to consider is if you can also work any of the long tail key phrases for it to boost your traffic.

Thanks, Doublehead for the response - Unfortunately, I'm a 30DC newbie, so your advice is a little advanced for me. Hopefully, within a few weeks, this will all make perfect sense!
