Default Social Marker strategy

This post is primarily aimed at those who've been using Social Marker to socially bookmark their latest content. As you know, Ed suggests that you just grab the "big ones" (Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Twitter and Propeller) when bookmarking via SM. However, as you know, SocialMarker actually has links to 48 sites including some very important ones (like Diigo, Furl and Mixx) which are not suggested in the initial five. On Social Marker's homepage, those additional social bookmarking sites sit there...unchecked...taunting and teasing me to use them. I think that the general concensus is that bookmarking to all the sites is not only a waste of time but is also likely to lose brownie points with Google (No soup for YOU!!!) if used. Does anyone have a differing opinion, or did the creators of SM waste their time by including links to all those secondary sites?

I've personally gotten traffic from some of those other bookmark and social network sites. I believe Ed's main intent was twofold.
1. To enable us to get up to speed with actually bookmarking and learning the process as quickly as possible. Face it; it takes time to create 28, or more, bookmarking accounts.
2. To suggest a wise course of posting to only a handful of sites at a time. 4-5, not 24-25 which could be seen as spammy. By all means, mix them up and see where your audience comes from after a few bookmarks. In my case, some people at Folk'd liked one of my sites, so now they are a permanent part of my socialmarker list for that site.

I would have to disagree that it is a waste.
Its all how you apply your bookmarking (strategy?)

Take a look at TrafficGeyser.com
They send out your video to a BIG list
of sites/networks as a major part of their
ranking service.

Its about having a strategy/method.
Multiple accounts?? Outsourced?? Hmmm
