"I cannot believe (nor can any of my friends up here!)that I actually won the fishing tournament and am now the Hervey Bay Tuna Fishing Champion 2006 - Spinning Category"

Non profits can use my new site and forum http://www.charityintersection.com
Tell me about your non profit and I can highlight it on the main page.

Thanks Danie - I checked out and Stumbled your sites,
as well as the Squidoo Lens you didn't mention - I subscribed to that one.

We're in the process of 'reorganizing the org' and revamping
our website to better serve an international volunteer community.
We're blogging the process (link below) as time permits. We've
been working on it in dribs and drabs for months now, but the
30DayChallenge has rekindled the urgency and optimism we felt
in the wake of our Africa work teams last fall.

Three of us (so far) on the Many Hands admin team are doing
the Challenge, and at the same time applying what we're learning
to our nonprofit. As Ed pointed out above, This stuff is killer for non-profits.

I think we've gotten more traffic in the last three days than we did in
the last six months. I Googled "many hands africa" and we're the second
result - I think we were down around the 3 or 4 million mark a week ago.
Let go, let Ed ... Let go, let Ed...

And I think the best part is yet to come - we are realizing that we don't
have to muddle through the whole reorganization / remodeling thing
by ourselves, not a tech genius among us. By doing it openly, talking
about the process publicly and asking for comments and criticism, we
are getting a ton of advice and input and we'll end up with a far better
result than we could have imagined.

This is an incredibly generous and talented community, and we are
truly grateful to be a part of it.

is it really 3:27 am? oh dear...

What a great post. I run a small charity and want to relate the 30DC to it, especially as we are mainly web based. Once I finally get my confimation from facebook I'll be joining the group.

Thanks webmack for starting this!

I also have a fund raising project going and I have had some response from the lovely people here. I used YouTube to make a little blurb for my blog and also was interviewed for a regular podcast about my efforts.

Any help is appreciated and I will be looking at your site !

p.s. My site www.netXperiment.com would love to feature your successful 30 Day Challenge site/product when you get them up and running

Default nonprofits rock - welcome aboard!

Hi Brendan -

I noticed last night that you've joined the nonprofits rock
group on Facebook. I probably should have left a quick post
on the wall to acknowledge you and the others who joined
yesterday, but I was completely out of gas. I'm starting to
think that the biggest challenge this month will be finding time
to sleep...

I liked your comments about Phil's site. I think there are some very
interesting connections to be made between nonprofit orgs and
for-profit marketers. Seems like a topic for the group discussion board
over there. How about if the first one of us to get over there
starts that thread?

Regards, Mack

PS: nonprofits rock is an open group - all are welcome to view or join
