Day 7 Key Criteria & Phrases

Thanks for the summary, I have been practicing the steps in day seven and have gotten some amazing results. Using Google notes is a good way to keep track of things so I don't have to stop and lose momentum jotting stats.

That's a great summary and the exact number guidlelines help determine was is good to go after.

never really understood what type of keyphrases to go after and the numbers that showed what a good phrase was.

6 of my markets were pretty bad under the keyword research, 1 of those was close, and the other looks really stellar at first glance.

Looking forward to the final factor of research phase tomorrow.

Just a quick comment...I'm a little confused.

The keyword phrase I'm looking at has a daily keyword search well above 100...and has competition of less than 25,000 pages in google...BUT wordtracker gives it a KEI of only 0.5 and says there are over 5000 competing webpages...


So who do I listen to ...wordtracker or "you guys"?

Hi Darren,

We are not concerned with KEI with this strategy. We are using the FREE Wordtracker tool for specific reasons.

Please follow this strategy for the 30DCIII, and feel free to continue using another that uses KEI if you like that (and I am aware of the debate about KEI effectiveness as a measure - this is not relevant to this process ).

Say I get a keyword phrase in "phrase" and I get 54,000 pages
do I go on to the 10n and find 301 pages, do I use that phrase or not.

Is the +30k where I stop searching or the 301 page on the 10n where I stop?

As for the 'Uniques" questions - please note these are not a way to differentiate from one keyword to another.

Why Robert bought it up, is that should a keyword pass all the tests (2 videos still to come) - then you should have confidence that if you create optimized content you have a reasonable chance of being listed by Google.

If you have 56K competitors - that's too much. Look at another keyword in that niche, following all that has been laid out above and in the videos

Hi Caro,
Just a little fuzzy on one point and I hope you can clear it up for me. When Robert went to the bottom of the page and clicked page 10, that confused me. Are we not to click on page 10 everytime we run our list of 7 through this exercise? Are we not to consider the page numbers at the top once page 10 is clicked? I am so confused over this whole page 10 clicking thingy. Hope you can help. Just for my own FYI, what is the purpose of clicking on page 10?
