It's perfectly fine to use additional words in your titles, otherwise you'll wind up with all your posts in that category with the same title :-)
Don't forget that "category keywords" are literally your Wordpress categories. And don't forget to join The Challenge 2010 for the latest and best marketing training!

Thanks for your reply Dean. For some reason I hadn't really thought of category keywords as wordpress categories. So when we/you/they talk of long-tail keywords are they also wordpress categories or do we just use the keywords for the titles of the posts that then slot into the wordpress categories?

So let's say you have theme keywords "dog training" and you have category keywords "puppy training" so your posts with titles like "Puppy Training Myths" and "Six Puppy Training Tips" will be posted under the "puppy training" category.
Also, you could find category keywords like "puppy training collar" so you would create the Wordpress category "puppy training collar" and populate it with posts that have those keywords in the title.. "How to Choose a Puppy Training Collar" etc. The important thing is that your Wordpress categories are not based on some sort of logical hierarchy, they are strictly based on keyword research.
