Question Gtrends bar.. how many in this bar?

I'm sorry but I'm not understanding how to figure out the numbers for these Gtrends bars. Instruction would be appreciated. I'm just not getting it I guess.

This is the bar I'm getting for an otherwise super looking niche.

Just got it a few moments ago so it's recent as far as the onslaught of male yeast infection comparison numbers.

Using my handy dandy scrap of paper with tick marks on it, I would clock that in at around 30 or so.

Thanks Paul.
I need a handy dandy piece of paper like that.

guess I'm still niche hunting. *sigh*

Nobody is monetizing on my idea searches. Guess I need a new frame of mind.

Hi Showpup,
as I posted somewhere else,

if you right mouse click in Firefox and do VIEW SOURCE CODE.
Then word search for the word "English" (without quotes).
Within 2 lines you will see 2 WIDTH figures, which are effectively exact percentages. One (MYI) is 100 as in 100%.

It's much quicker to do than explain - honest.

BTW what only sunk in after watching Nate's FireBug (cough) video was that even 1 pixel/point is 5.5 hits.

AKA if the 100% base line is 550,
then 1% is
550 * (1/100)
aka 550 * 0.01 = 5.5

I'm not sure a 1 pixel line is going to impress and swoon my bank manager, but... ;-)

Peter.

Hi Peter

Thanks for that it is really useful.

However, surely 550 * 1% = 5.5 and not 55

Or am I missing something?

Hi,
I think that was a typo.

If you find reading the code difficult bear in mind the MYI blue line is 3cm long. In your example the red line is about 1.5mm which if you assume the MYI base is 550 means your result is about 27.

ie (550/300) X 1.5

Not a great result but a useful addition to a larger one.
