A little bit off the tumblr topic... and not sure if this is just a coincidence or not....
I just tried to login to Facebook and it says problem loading page. the connection was reset. I was just on there a few minutes ago with no problems. |

I have about 600 words, useful tips, only one link at the bottom of the page BUT, instead of having a raw link to an affiliate site, I have a redirect "cloak" link through one of my own domains. Don't know is this is making any difference or not, just thought I'd throw it out there.

You know, it could be that Tumblr just got overwhelmed like Netscape did. If you keep checking you blogs they may return. Mine are all there and they definitely link to an affiliate product. Didn't hide it, and in fact it's set apart as one of their BIG links right at the top.
So if providing a recommended product link in Tumblr is a no no, then I should have been outta there from the beginning.

This was briefly mentioned on the last podcast, and it sounds like Dan might be working on providing a cloaking service for 30dc. It requires your own domain/webhost which means spending $$ though. Thats why it hasnt really been covered. Do a google search for hiding affiliate links and theres plenty of results. Some methods include meta refresh, php header(), or .htaccess redirect
