Default Don't Panic!

Seriously guys and gals, there is nothing to get your knickers in a knot about. Yes we are seeing mass deletion of blogs from Tumblr... but Tumblr is not the only place in town...

What you are learning here is a methodology, the use of Tumblr is an example of the 'type' of place you should be putting content on... There are a whole rook of other sites out there that fit the bill.

True, we are seeing a bit of a backlash here, and in all honesty Tumblr are being a bit trigger happy at the moment. I have seen Tumblr blogs deleted today that have been around for quite a while now, have amazing content in, and which are in no way connected to the Thirty Day Challenge.

But... as we get past this little hurdle we will all come out at the other end a little wiser... and a little less dependent on one source of traffic. (I hope you listened to the Podcast).

Ed and I will be bringing you an update soon.

Dan

Yeah, I'm already signing up to different free platforms where I can blog or post content. A little shaken, not stirred, but it's not the end of the world.

Any chance Tumblr could have been 'got at ' by other 'gurus and webmasters' who are somewhat jealous or peeved at the 30 DC success?

1. Tumblr is controlled by that person. So he is probably "THE MASTER". He doesn't consult his stuff about decisions because he probably doesn't have many of them.
2. He wrote on the blog and wrote also that he feels fullfilling while deleting 30 DC users. Yea feed up the ego...

It seems that we got to the ground of the "evil geeks".

P.S. Change this post if you think it's inappropriate.

Default Check on the web cache

Hey all,

In case you had content on your tumblog that you wish to keep and didn't get a chance to save, do the Google search you have probably been doing every 10 minutes, find your result, and click on "Cached" below the description. You may be able to retrieve some of your material.

I was able to get back one of the posts that I had written directly into my dashboard. Note to self, always write content offline or in Google Notebook.

Hope this helps, and don't worry, how long did it take you to get where you were in Google anyhow? You will get back there again!

I recommend that instead of ED & Dan giving us specific sites to use for these exercises....he should leave it up to us to find a site like tumblr to post our content on.

That way you will not have thousands of people opening up accounts at sites like tumblr at the same time.

Because not only do u have 30DC doing this stuff you have outside lurkers copying these tactics adding to the problem.

Anything done in masses is going to trigger spam filters...

But again it's all about the process (Market Research, Tools Etc.) which I absolutely love and not the specific tactics which can change at anytime.
