Cool How I Made $7000 + with the 30DC

Bom Dia (that's hello in Portuguese) 30 day challengers!

I'm Bruce, the guy in Rio de Janeiro that Ed mentions in the video. I usually stay low key and don't comment on the forums too much. I just like to watch, read and learn, but add when I think I have something worthwhile.

I'm writing today because I've seen some people being a bit negative or not believing about the $7000,00 {well actually it was $8500.00 but I was so thrilled about the $7,000 sale, I forgot to mention to Ed the $1500 sale the day before} so I wanted to put rumors to rest and give you some facts.

{The sale is actually $14,000 but I could only claim $7000 because they paid half now and the other half upon delivery}

Without being too specific, my niches are in tourism, and real estate and luxury items.
On the low end you could make $10, on the top end $100,000 + in one sale.
Like one poster stated, it takes the same effort to make $1 as it takes to make $100,000.

1. This is in NO WAY a plug for any of the other programs Ed, Dan, and the rest of the 30 day crew are involved in. It is not to entice you to join another program to learn about anything other than what you've learned here at the 30 day challenge.

2. Yes, I applied what I learned from the 30DC to an existing site that I own.
The site had been Google Slapped since January and could no longer be found. I remember Ed said that we might be disappointed if we used it on our own sites because they probably didn't fit the paramaters of less than <30,000 competing sites {Mine has over 1 million) and more than >100 searches per day {mine gets anywhere from 20- 40}

3. I did all the lessons, set up my tumbler and blogspot sites, but did not have any success. I listened to Ed's podcast about last year's challengers switching niches mid way through the challenge. I decided to do this. My team helped me with Social bookmarking and we try to have a weekly call to discuss the Challenge and share ideas.

4. I noticed my Social posted pages appearing on page one and two of Google, as a matter of fact, on page two, 6 of the 10 were sites pointing back to mine. I noticed that my Original site that was Google Sandboxed was now on page two. - {as of yesterday it's on page one!}

5. My site requires either email contact or phone contact with my customers after they see my site. What I sell if subject to availability so it's necessary to confirm. These customers are 95% ready to buy, so if it's available, it's usually a done deal.

6. On Sunday Aug 26, I received my first sale of $1500.00 - I asked them how they found out about me and they said they read an article on Google which they liked and clicked the link and was taken to my main site.

7. On Monday Aug 27, I received a call about a service I provide and I asked them how they found me. It was through my Netscape article which my group had helped me through Social posting. Well, closed the deal which is actually $14,000 - I received $7000 upfront and the rest upon delivery.

8. This was all verified by Ed and the lab. I use TDC tracker so they could see that I was getting clickthroughs, they could see that my site and social posting sites are well ranked, and I sent them a screen shot of my Paypal page. Plus whatever checking that they do, which I don't know.

Ok guys, there are people out there with money that will pay for Big ticket items and services if you have them. My $14,000 sale was made to MTV. {YES MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES BUY THINGS ON THE INTERNET} With the 30 day challenge, I put myself in the position to be found by those who are searching for what I have. They know what these services and products cost, so money isn't the issue. If you find one, hold on to your hat, and get an accountant because you'll start raking in big $$$.

I've been doing this stuff for about 6 years and never could get over the hump. What I've learned with the 30DC is more than I've learned in the 6 years of signing up for every Internet Marketing guru's list and spending thousands of dollars on ebooks, videos, courses and seminars, that never made me more that $500 dollars. The best thing is it's all been FREE!
I can't thank Ed Dale and the rest of the crew enough.

Listen to all of you out there who are still struggling. so was I up until Sunday. Then like magic, BAM! It just happened, and now I can't explain it but I'm making sales every day. A couple of sales were reffered to me by the person making the $7000.00 sale.

I'm still cranking and am over $10,000 in since August 26th, with more on the way. By no means am I content with this, although it's great, I just feel lucky at this point. I want to be like Ed with multiple niches bringing in multiple streams of income and one day I will be like Ed and give a course or seminar on how I made it.

Good luck to you all, don't give up, keep working. It took me 6 years to have this kind of success, and now I know that it's real.

Wow Bruce, thanks for sharing all that information, it's great to know that 30DC techniques can be used for such a wide variety of businesses.

Good stuff

I don't know what else to say Bruce but thanks for sharing all that with us.

It really is incredible. Yes the same effort to make 1$ as 10,000.

Talk about an inspiration, this is very cool.

Bruce! That is an AMAZING account

Thank you so much for taking the time to share.

You are indeed an inspiration.

It wasn't an overnight success in any way.

It was about this particular strategy giving you the leverage you had been missing.

Out of interest - you say that your site has over 1mill competitors.

However did you still choose keyword phrases that fitted with the criteria?

So even if your main phrase has those figures - did you find another phrase to leverage that related to your niche/offering?

Thanks again Bruce

Actually I want to be just like Bruce! And the record will be amended to reflect the true amount.

Thanks for sharing, Bruce! You have no idea how much inspiration you've given to someone else with a 6-year old, higher ticket, not-really-working-for-me "niche" with too little traffic and too much competition.

Congratulations, you deserve it.

Thank you Caro, It still seems kind of surreal, and I don't want to get caught up in a small bit of success, and I'm still working on the lessons, {I'm a bit behind and need to take today to catch up on day 27 and 28.}

To answer your questions
"However did you still choose keyword phrases that fitted with the criteria?"

Answer: My keywords were the same ones I've always used and my site used to rank well with these 1-5 on Google, until they slapped me in January. I re designed my site, catering to a higher end customer and did all the SEO stuff I was getting from the other IM "gurus", and my site would just drop in Google with every change I did. I was so frustrated!

"So even if your main phrase has those figures - did you find another phrase to leverage that related to your niche/offering?"

Answer: I tried to find keyword phrases that met the 30DC challenge parameters, but could not come up with any. So I decided to put it to the ultimate test and see if could pull my site out of the gutter. Which it did unbelivable well. I think in part because hardly anyone in my niche uses these Web 2.0 techniques, and it was easy for me to get ranked. There are a few sites that still out rank me and I believe I know why - (Backlinks) so I'm studying that lesson right now.

Obrigado! (Thanks!)
Bruce

P.S. People have asked, but I'm not Brazilian, I'm from the U.S., but I now live in one of the most beautiful cities of the world, Rio de Janeiro.

thanks for the explanation! I'm glad I read it, I was out hunting $10,000.00 affiliate items. I had not thought that you might have sold a product you were already in the business of selling using the 30DC methodology.

That makes tons of sense. And it's true about doing the same work for a $1 product or a $10,000 product. If you can hit the front page of Google, you're going to get the traffic - all you have to is provide your visitors with some quality content / service and you'll make the sale.

Thanks, and congrats!
