Who's lying? Dan Raine or the affiliates

I'm talking about the discrepancy between the TDC stats tracker and the different affiliate programs.

My TDC stats tracker will for example tell me that 10 people have clicked on the affiliate link today, and the affiliate's own tracker will tell me only 1-2 people have?

Any idea what's going on?

This is happening from anyone from amazon associates to directrack programs up to clickbank programs!

Put Google Analytics on your site to see where Google says the clicks are going.

Didn't Rob say that any rollover popups would also trigger additional TDC hits ?

I don't know if they were able to bypass that.

Sorry man, it's just as a copywriter "lying" is
quite a power word.

You never know how it may land upon others.

For me it seemed quite harsh.

What other stat tracking do you have in place? Google Analytics? Stat Counter? What are you using to verify what you're seeing?

To put 'Who's lying?' in the subject is just not cool.

You right its not cool !!!! Tools give an indication of whats going on
thats why most use more than one.Don't come out and post negitive remarks if you have a problem or need help askfor understanding on whats up with your site.

I don't think anyone in any other forum (of several different niches) would have or has reacted that way "didn't get it". Who said internet marketers are supposed to not get it or have no sense of humor? But point taken, from now on i will not use tongue in cheek, double meaning, nor humor on IM forums

That aside, yes I do have other trackers installed, and they all report different stats. Wordpress stats and squidoo stats.... I will figure something out, thanks.

The answer is in the "secret sauce" -- LOL, j/k.

Well, okay, it's true -- when you decide that "secret sauce" is
the fine print.

For instance, G-analytics has a certain amount of delay in it -- that can affect
stats.

Maybe one thing or the other is counting hits rather than page views.

Since stats is one of my specialties, if you want me to look at your situation, you can contact me and we'll figure out what's going on...
