Default Google Trends Limit, WTF???

I was doing a bit of KW research today, and the wordtracker gtrends tool was returning 0 searches as the result.

"Hmmm... must be something up. I'll send a quick tweet to Mike to let him know."

So I go into google.com/trends to do it manually and get this:

You've reached your quota limit. Please try again tomorrow.

What!? Limit!?

Anyone else seen this? Possible work arounds?

I tried to get some more info on the subject and didn't find any. I need details google!

By the sounds of it, your IP has been picked up for too many searches, one of the downsides of Gtrends. Its a real pain, i went ahead and bought the Gtrends tool. Sometimes i just set it to run over night with a big delay in between pings. That way g will see it as more natural searches and let them go through after a while.

What you really need though is a proxy server. Although if the proxy has been picked up you are back to square one.

This is the exact tool you need. Enjoy.

Whispers are that apparently its been modified( its open source) for file sharing. The orginal is only http to prevent this very thing. Some ISP's have also been known to block the project as a whole, due to its effectiveness.

PS: Any internet gangsters/ predators reading this ( i hope to hell not!) looking to use this for illegal purposes and complete anonymity. Id think again, the authorities will have cracked this a while back.

Nice, Stig...

Interesting "project" too.

It appears I may have just caught google during some network updates, as it works now.

Scared me for a second, though. I thought the big G was going to make research a little more difficult for all of us.

Yes, I've been playing with it all day today. But after a while, it started showing that there were 0 Actual Visitors From #1 in Google/day for every single keyword. I even went through and checked keywords like Wii. 0 visitors.

It was pretty cool up to then.
