Default Edge

As a founder member of the immediate edge I have to say it is not the 30DC. I have thought many times of canceling due to things not arriving, being delayed etc but the golden nuggets you get every couple of months make it worth it.

The 30DC is a tough act to follow and edge is not a complete solution. I think that has to come from experience, trial and error and a determination to take action.

Anyone not an edge member ignore it for now focus on the steps of the challenge. If you have time free for a new course then go do some more research, and start the 30Dc process a second, third time. don't forget that there wasn't a Guru to proceed all gurus they had to learn by doing (hopefully!) go get your own experience.

Default Ten Thumbs Up

Hey I go overboard. But really when I ran across the 30 Day Challenge I was floored. This type of training for free? I told my son that this was worth thousands and I was getting it free. Plus it builds on the foundation of content that will last forever. I was and am really excited. However I think people have forgotten or over looked the fact that we are using cutting edge software and when all the kinks are worked out there will be no more complaints. Yes it's frustrating and I am way behind but I will not quit.

Many thanks to Ed and his crew Marty and his crew and of course to the guys at Samurai

Maybe I'll go with Twenty Thumbs Up.

I think the problem with making it free is that, you inevitably attract pretty much anyone and everyone.

If it was a paid-for service, it would attract IMers who have a little bit of expereince and know what to expect.

A lot of people I spoken to think IM will make them rich almost overnight, or think that they'll make money effortlessly without much hard work.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Never the less, Team 30DC are doing an amazing job and it's very much appreciated.

I agree with Sharon and everyone else.

I would like to add something.

The content provided to us during the month of August is absolutely amazing. But, the other thing that is just as amazing is the community that has grown from the TDC.

It is amazing! We have Ed and the entire crew along with WPD and MS people responding to issues - trying their best to keep us moving forward.

But, the strength of the community itself is awesome. People with strengths in different areas have posted offering their services if someone needs additional help.

I had problems with code in my footer.php. I PM'd nrocy, and he took his time to strip the code for me.

The community bond is a rare event on forums like this. But, thanks to Ed strongly recommending that we form teams, I have been fortunate enough to meet some wonderful people. Without the team mates, and others from the forum, I would have remained stuck on silly issues that became huge in my mind.

So, thanks Ed, Dan, Rob, Caro, all the great mods, all those behind the scenes. And thanks to all those at WPD and MS for allowing us to use your services.

Free has the nasty perception in our minds of being worthless. We've all heard the saying "you get what you pay for".

That is in the subconscious and so the 30dc being free your brain naturally says "I get what I pay for. I paid nothing for this, therefore it must be worth nothing."

Which is completely untrue in this case and in many other cases on the net.

There are many garbage pdfs and free 'training' out there. No question.

But free things can have value and 30dc is an excellent example of this.

As Carmen said of even more value is the community and contacts you make during the challenge.

Default Completely agree

I started a local freecycle group and know that some people do not appreciate anything when it is FREE. But not everyone is the same. Give us some credit, don't lump us all together.

Some people are more giving than others, and I am sure that when we've all cracked IM we'll be signing up to Stompernet?!

Default Tremendous Value

I agree with you all. We are getting tremendous value from this course that costs thousands of dollars. In fact I have seen people hawking aspects of the 30dc for outrageous prices and they don't even have it all that we have here for free. Thanks Ed and Dan.
