The downloadable videos aren't working here.
They both stop playing very shortly after I push the play button..

Do you mean that you can't use the RSS feed from your blog like you did in the video?

When i try to publish, this is what i'm getting Sorry, you no longer have permission to publish hubs. You can still save your changes by clicking the Done Editing or Save Unpublished buttons. Contact team@hubpages.com if you have any questions."
I contacted them and they have no idea why i can't publish!! I only have one hyperlink and havent even put in the RSS capsule!

Yes The Hub Slap came after the video - and the result was what we've shared previously

You need to persevere with the team at hubpages. Request that they make it work for you since it's their system.

We can not make it work for you here

Highly unlikely from Hubpages - they're not Tumblr.

Hub are an EXCELLENT entity, as are Squidoo

Default Caro - now I AM confused!

Yesterday, I put several hours work into writing up a Hubpage. Although drawing on material I had researched elsewhere on the web, I went to great pains to ensure that the copy was mine.

This morning I received an email from Hubpages, which aside from detailing their terms of use reads ..

"Your Hub has been flagged by our system as a violation of our Terms of Use.

Overly Promotional - Solely or excessively promotes another site(s), especially when Hub links all point to one site."

The copy comprises some ten informative paragraphs, is instructional in that it provides tips for beginners starting out shooting the Flintlock pistol, and has one single link in it pointing back to my 'Black Powder Pistol" site. The link comprising the main keyword phrase down near the bottom of the copy, is bolded, as is the same keyword phrase in the first paragraph (not linked).

On going in to edit the site this is the message which appears:

WARNING: This hub is in danger of being flagged as Overly Promotional, for 2+ links to a domain.

Overly Promotional: This Hub excessively promotes another site.

But as I say .. there is just the ONE link .. unless of course they are including the RSS feed link which I put in (which is pulling in three feeds from the site, I see you entered 4 in the video) .. but I thought I had just followed what you had recommended.

By virtue of the simple act of bold facing my unlinked keyword phrase in the first paragraph .. could this have been construed as weighting the later linked phrase more heavily?

Please .. I do need a bit of guidance with this. This was not something I just threw up in a hurry .. a lot of thought and care went into the crafting of the page .. Of course the page solely promotes another site .. but is that not what we want it to do?

Thanks ..

Dale

I suspect it is the RSS feed.
However, if you are unable to post that article on HubPages, it sound like a good one for eZine.
