But both Adwords data, and other keyword tools will also estimate something akin to the "searches" column.

Hey Brent -

Thanks for all of your prolific posts on the forum. If nothing else, I am learning a lot.

I just posted my keyword results in my last post and I was going to go to bed thinking that I may have found a niche, but then I went to Google and determined that the keyword phrase has 221,000 pages optimized for the exact phrase match. The SEOC from MS says 20,800!!!

This shouldn't happen, as Market Samurai just reports the numbers it finds - however, I can think of a few potential causes.

I've sent you a reply to your message to me - but if anyone else has experienced this, I'd love to hear from them too.

Send a copy of the CSV export from your Analysis page, plus keyword details to our support helpdesk (submit a ticket) and we'll look into this for you.

Obviously if there's a problem, we want to get onto it right away.

Just lost the reply to this thread and am not talented enough to type it all back out on the iPhone very well. Can't finish the challenge due to internet service being down for past 3 days, and no chance for catch up now, but wanted to thank you all for good ideas, suggestions and support.

I hope that you were just having a moment when you wrote the last post.

I found last years 30dc in January 08 like many people, after it was over. I watched the videos and tried as best I could to make it happen.

What I find most appealing about the '30 DC' community is it never ends.

My understanding is this is not a race. It is a challenge as defined by Merriam Webster as:

5 a: to confront or defy boldly : dare <he challenged his critics to prove his guilt> b: to call out to duel or combat c: to invite into competition <he challenged his brother to a tennis match>6: to arouse or stimulate especially by presenting with difficulties <she wants a job that will challenge her>"

Unless I'm wrong, and that could be, we are all trying to build strong foundations for an IM business with the great tools and insight of the 30 dc team.

I have started many other businesses and none of them got off the ground in 30 days.

Everyone here should realize that 30 days is just the start. I could take years for some of us to make it happen, that is the way it is in learning any business that you expect to become successful in.

So, while you may not make your first $ during the 30 days, so what. Just keep going as the universe permits. It won't let you down, and the teaching is 'spot on' and will work for many months to come.

lost the first reply I typed out on the iPhone. Second reply not as clear. I won't be able to finish the challenge this month with you all due to being behind and now no Internet. Not throwing in the towel, just can't finish in august. Really just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my thread and extend my thanks and gratitude to ed, dan, caro, and all the people who make the 30DC happen.
