Lisa here from California. So if I understand your point correctly. You're saying that when I add a new post to the blog and I want social mark it, i social mark mydomain.com/newblogposttitle and not mydomain.com? Thanks a bunch, Lisa |

Yes Lisa,
When you publish you blog post open the post page and bookmark that page.

Indianpad as Ken says is a real bear. I submitted 1 post there and got banned. As for voting on each other's stories in Digg or Propeller that wouldn't get you banned.
Only when you submit multiple stories from the same domain in the same day have I ever seen anyone get banned. Each site is different. ONly post 1 of 2 stories every couple weeks from your own domain and get someone else to post yours for you. Of course you post theirs for them. That way you have multiple domains and it looks natural so the social sites are happy. Their main goal is to guard against "shameless OVER self-promotion". Just don't go overboard and you'll be fine. And as Ken says submit the specific story pages not the main domain. The sites frown upon that. And go in and Digg, Prop, some of the stories from the home page or in the categories. This way you are also looking natural.

Okay, I've tested it out and here is the real deal on this.
Ken was absolutely right; Propeller and some of the other bigees have rules that you must vote on others' sites/blogs before you can prop up your own. I went to a blog that I knew was registered with quite a number of the social bookmarking engines and gave that blog a bump up in each social bookmarking engine that I was submitting my blog to. Consequently, I can now bookmark my posts on Propeller and StumbleUpon, sites where I had previously been "banned." Find a blog/site like I have found that has many social bookmarking links (or at least all the big ones) and be sure to submit a "vote" for each one, prior to submitting your own posts in social bookmarking. I know this works because not only was I "banned," but, after implementing this simple fix, I was able to submit four posts today and bookmark them all on sites where I had beened previously banned. Thanks, Ken, for pointing out the error of my selfish ways! |

So I was banned from Digg. I didn't realize I couldn't only post my own, but I was only marking the individual pages (so no duplicates). How do I get unbanned? Also, is there a way to get my diggs that were banned unbanned?
Thanks |

I too got banned from Digg. I asked the reason from support because I didn't realize I was violating their TOS. Reason was a bit surprise for me. They said I was posting my content under wrong topic.
If your content doesn't fit under their topics, don't post it. What kind of content doesn't fit under their topics...well, don't know really. It doesn't read anywhere. Interesting point is that there will be no warning. You just get banned and it's irreversible and decision is final. Because of this I will never ever use Digg again. I got pretty pissed from their behavior. There are plenty of other SocialBookmarking services. So, if Digg doesn't want me...so be it. |
