Default Got banned. Now what?

My team mate and I are both banned from 3 of the 5 social marker sites. What did we do wrong? All we were doing was marking our new material. Any insight would be great!

We were booking anytime Ed and the gang said to social mark anything (so once every couple of days) ...and we were marking our team mates sites as well.

I think that might have been the problem. I'm sure Ed said in one of the videos that we wern't meant to be bookmarking each others sites this year.

Hmm...ok, well I suppose we'll stop marking each other's pages and see what happens. Thanks!

You didn't specify which sites you were banned from. That might help in determining the why

Some of the sites in Social Marker are "region specific" like Indian Pad I believe its called is only for people who live in or write about India. Others are niche specific, like the ones that are strictly for tech issues.

But if you got banned from the big ones like Digg, Propeller, and StumbleUpon you're only recourse is to set up a new account with them and make sure you vote up stories from their general populace once in a while.

Also, never submit the url to a blog. Just the specific stories.

If you're working in a team, be careful about always digging/etc one another's pages.

Most of these sites now have analysis in place to detect this sort of team 'pimping'. Would advise that you mix it up a little, half a few people dig one post, others dig another, etc

I've been banned from a couple of the big ones, too! All I did was bookmrk the page as I posted it. I'm not even part of a team, so that's not the deal with me.

The only thing I can guess is that I have written and submitted too many articles, too quickly. I just did what I was told and submitted them to social bokmarking sites when they were posted.

Not enough information was given about this, I think.

Every social site has its own TOS. You should read them before using their services

Propeller for example will ban you if you only submit and vote on your own stuff. Its best to rummage around their front page now and then and vote up stories that interest you. StumbleUpon is very similar.
