Default google search results question

Sometimes google leaves out similar search results for certain search terms, and it will show this message at the bottom of the search results:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 7 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.
"

Does anyone know when this happens and how it affects the competition within a certain market? Market Samurai also returns the 'low' number of search results. I thought I had found a great micro niche, but now I am not so sure anymore as a huge number of search results were omitted.

I'd check the keyword using the phrase match method in the Niche Marketing Blackbook that we gave out with Market Samurai.

Something sounds odd...

Chances are if there are only 7 competing pages, the precise phrase you're searching for isn't in the common vernacular (few people use the words in that order).
