Default The super-abbreviated 30 day challenge, days 1-30

I'm getting ready to try to attack a couple more niches (since I haven't converted in my primary), so today I wrote up a short form of the topics & methods covered so far. I thought others might find it useful.

Non-italic steps can be (I think) done all at once in one sitting. Those in italics require some waiting for data to come in.
  1. Generate niche ideas (5-10)
  2. Do keyword research with Market Samurai (<30,000 competing pages, > 80 searches per day, 2-3 should survive)
  3. Do SEO competition analysis using Market Samurai to pick the best candidate out of the 2-3 survivors from step 2
  4. Find 2 affiliate items associated with phrases from step 3, write short (<50 words) offer copy and save image
  5. Write first blog entry (use Market Samurai to find copy to adapt if necessary), find several more articles to cite/adapt
  6. Reserve domain, set up blog, and create first article
  7. Add Google Analytics and set up tracked offer link using thirtydaychallenge.com
  8. Use SocialMarker to promote intro article
  9. Build some backlinks using comments on niche related sites
  10. Use 30DC RSS submission service
  11. Create related Squidoo lens, search content feeds via Market Samurai and add to lens
  12. Create Hubpages hub (careful!)
  13. Review Google Analytics
  14. Tumblr - dumped by 30DC - replace with rticlz.com (30DC friendly) or other web 2.0 site
  15. Create Weebly site
  16. Publish Ezine article
  17. Check blog ranking
  18. Assessment #1 - look at the data, change offer if necessary
  19. Think about traffic sources
  20. Adwords primary phrase
  21. Add related Adwords
  22. Evaluate and tune Adwords performance
  23. Carefully consider WP Direct's content features
  24. Relax (while writing excellent copy)
  25. Assessment #2 - look at the data, decide to push or slide
  26. No sales, bad feeling - do Adsense to make a few bucks
  27. Moving ahead - attack more keywords and (carefully) use WP Direct's content features
  28. Use Market Samurai's promotion feature to build backlinks and pingbacks
  29. Use Market Samurai's promotion feature to build .edu/.gov backlinks
  30. Don't f*** up, especially in market research

I suppose the adwords could be done immediately with sufficient budget, but it seems the thinking is cpc is lower if you get some rank first.

If anyone is interested I am drawing this out in mindmanager for mac as a full mindmap.

For those edgers you should then be able to use this copy and pasted to create a "full secret sauce" silo map. That was the intention behind it for me anyway.

Nice! Thanx

Since it deserved to be a sticky, I might add one question:

Do the articles we put on Hubpage, Squeedo, Weebly etc. all have to be different, or can we post the same one on all these since we wrote them ourselves??

They need to be worded differently at least, otherwise they are duplicate content.
