Hello Rick,
I like your friendfeed quote... Scott does have a grand grasp of those things important / critical to succeeding. His post teaches much about the pragmatism of time maintenance. I agree with your assessment, once a path that produces excellent / good results has been identified; consistent focus and diligent work will achieve satisfying results. From me at least, you have a hearty a-men about virtue; certainly it is one of the missing character traits in most of our society; seemingly because many people do not like responsibility and accountability, preferring to consider themselves victims. It is like any other addiction; difficult to shed. ![]() Wishing you well in your quest and the 30 dc. an old scruffy carpenter learning to be a marketer ![]() Reeder Last edited by Reeder; 07-04-2009 at 06:29 PM. Welcome BelAirIrish,
Not trying to be presumptive but from your signature it would seem your first name is Tim. If I've mis-spoke please take no offense, certainly none was meant. The greatest treasure of all is relationship turned friendship. I would agree with your assessment, this is indeed a place where one can feel good about being motivated to move is a positive direction, hopefully leading toward improvement. So many here have such a profound level of expertise, experience and a genuine desire to give others a hand up, those wanting a "hand out are probably better served to find other quarters. It is good to have you here; it would seem a grand thing that we all might learn this profession by emulating those already proficient in the business. That is for me the exciting aspect of this gathering e.g. 30 dc. Even those making extreme amounts of money seem to have the thread of humility running through their tapestry. I too am glad you've "found" your way here. Thank you for you wishes of good luck. Here is a quote that gives great insight into "luck", it is made by another whom I study under, he says, "the harder I work, the "luckier" I get"! The profundity of this statement leave me in great wonderment for it speaks volumes. No offense meant at all about your good wishes, Thank you. Welcome. your new "old carpenter" friend Reeder - learning to become a marketer.

I have built a six figure online income (low sixes), but that is in the property industry and although I use many of the techniques discussed on TDC I already had a career in that industry behind me, so I had a leg up.
I do think this is possible, but careful organization and outsourcing/employees would be neccessary to leverage the workload in order to reach 200k per annum mark. |

I'm by no means an expert here, but I think 200k could be easily done in a year; even in a month or week with the right strategy.
I'm guessing you quoted the figure 200k as this is what you need to replace your current income? If you are getting paid 200k a year in a job, then you must have some pretty decent skills that people pay you well for. My thoughts would be to build on those skills you have and find a way to capitalize on them online. If you position yourself as a leader in what you do then you can charge whatever you can get away with in your field. You only need a 200 clients at a 1k apiece. A properly planned launch with the right partners and you'd be looking at 200k in one week let alone one year... it may take a few months of planning though. Just my thoughts on this... Dave |
