Lightbulb Keyword Research Question

The keywords I'm currently using have a global monthly search of about 330. Is this what I should be targeting or should I try to find topics that have more searches.

Using the criteria for keyword statistics in Market Samurai, it seem that pretty much every keyword I drill down to has a search volume about the same. Has anyone else experienced something different than this?

Thanks,

Jimmie

The 30DC method of niche testing involves targeting keywords with an SEOT> 80 visitors a day. That would equate to roughly 190 searches per day, so your 300 per month number is well below that threshold.

It is not uncommon for low volume keywords to show identical results. I suspect that it has to do with some sort of threshold in the algorithm they use to estimate search volume. Don't forget that every number generated by Google is an estimate derived from a mathematical formula applied to samples of their various databases, and is not some sort of "actual count."

Thank you so much for easing my mind. I misunderstood the "Searches" column in Market Samurai. So each of my 5 or so keywords have 300+ searches "PER DAY". That would equate to about 15,000 visitors per month if I were to rank in the #1 position for each one? YES?
