1 or multiple blog posts on the front page?

What is the current view on the best setup for this.

One main blog post sales letter to show up on your root domain as a static showing.

Or to have it set to show 2,3,10 or whatever multiple posts so that newly posted blog posts cycle thru on the front page?

multiple posts which will be in a cycle would be more beneficial for your blog promotion.

thanks for the response, have you tested this?

i still cant figure it out in my head if having content always fluctuating on the front page would be bad for seo reasons or not.

on the one hand it seems like fresh content would be good but if the content is always changing on it would it cause the spiders to cause my ranking to fluctuate as well?

of course i add fresh content to inner pages but were talking front page here
